K & Z HARDWOOD FLOORING

Worked with Guy to get our hardwood floors refinished - was very responsive and available. They got the job done quickly, and overall we are pleased with the job. We had an issue where some of the rooms were not sanded properly, and scratches were visible through the stain. Guy had his staff come back and redo the rooms, no extra charge and without hassle. The stain in some areas is not perfect, for example, darker in some corners and edges - however, for the price - they were pretty competitive - and the speed of service (took about a week to complete entire house), they did a good job. It will help if you know the exact stain color/brand that you would like to use, otherwise, they'll just show you whatever stains they have to work with. The only major issue was that we later found large amounts of dust on ledges and on top of ceiling fans. I would advise you check these areas for dust if you get your floors re-sanded by K&Z, or any areas not immediately visible or apparent.

Floor looks like new. Repairs were done as necessary. All other parts of the apartment was covered properly in order to prevent damages. Fast and swift job without any issues. 

The job was done very well! Guy showed up very fast and right on time for a quotation and to see what the work involves. The job was very clean and professional. We are very happy with the result. Would absolutely use them again.

The end result is stunning!!!  Never did I imagine that refinishing subfloors would be so painless and awesome!!  Walking on them is comfortable; so smooth and warm.  The natural color is warming up the kitchen which is all white with new Cararra marble countertops.  I am so glad I went with this option for my new floors!!

the job went well as expected. time wise as well. there were no unexpected delays. job was done on the date scheduled. the color of the floor is exactly what i asked for. the team was very polite.

The hardwood floors had never been refinished and the apartment is approximately 50 years old.  The floors had numerous stains and water marks, scratches, etc.  K & Z did a phenomenal job!  They were on time, professional and the job was finished by the estimated deadline. They sanded and applied three coats of poly euro thane.  There were four or five boards that needed to be replaced, which were done flawlessly.  We decided to also replace all of the shu baseboards and had them install new 4" baseboards. We've been working with K & Z for about 3 years and Guy and his crew does excellent work and I am a very particular customer.  His quality of workmanship is exceptional. I would highly recommend their services to others, you will not be disappointed!

We were so pleased to find Guy! He and his workers did a fantastic job! Our floors look great! My wife and I had three other bids from different companies and got varied prices from 1500 to 4500 dollars. We had actually decided on one company but noticed that they had mixed reviews. They were either 5 stars or 1 star. Nothing in the middle. It seemed like we'd be gambling.
That's when we saw K & Z had all great reviews; all 5 stars. So I called Guy and soon found out why. He was on top of it from the first call to the last follow up call. His price was fair and his procedure was not only professional, by ran like a well oiled machine and without any errors. Having done many projects on the house, it was a welcome relief to have someone actually deliver what they promise.
His two workers were not only crafted at their job, but polite and punctual as well. They took their time and did it right! Now our 1940 floors that were sadly hidden under carpet for years are now refinished to a beautiful natural glow that make the house look new. Thanks to Guy and K & Z.
