First American Warranty(Which is another review itself) contacted this contractor because I opened a claim for a plumbing blockage. The main drain to my house was clogged and they were sent out to perform a hydro jet cleaning service that would shoot high pressure water into my main house drain and flush it out. Well, the serviceman shows up 20 minutes late which didn't bother me but instead of performing the flush, he snakes the drain, which had been done 3 times the day before by another contractor. Afterwards he tells me the drain needs to have a camera sent down to look at it and then leaves. He was there for about 20 minutes total.
While I was bothered he didn't perform the flush as expected, what made things worse was that the contractor billed First American Warranty for the flush. A flush that was not performed. This caused me problems because FAW would not do further work because they said my main appeared to be broken and they paid for as much as they were willing to pay for. How FAW figured my main was broken from my drain being snaked 4 times is beyond me but I think it was simply a way for FAW to bail out of the claim so they didn't have to pay out anymore.
Anyways, as far as Home Improvement Services, it's hard to trust a contractor that isn't honest with their billing practices. I'm just glad I wasn't the one who paid for it. Or maybe I was since I ended up having Roto Rooter come out and actually perform the flush for me instead.
