Express Roofing

I had my roof done in summer of 2022. Express Roofing replaced the flat roof of our home. Amit was very responsive in coming out to provide an estimate. He presented a few options, and did not pressure us with any upsells. The estimate from Express Roofing was fair, neither the most expensive nor the least expensive from various roofers. The roofing job took only one day. The team was efficient and did a good job of cleaning up after the work. The real test of the new roof was the following winter with record-breaking rains. I'm happy to say the roof held up great with no leaks. I did discover one small loose edge of the asphalt sheeting on the roof earlier this year. Even though it was not a leak, Amit still came out himself to fix the issue. So I was pleased with his responsiveness.

Loved interacting with these guys! We called and left a message, and promptly heard back from them. We scheduled an inspection appointment, and Amit arrived promptly and was extremely professional. Within 20 minutes we had (and approved) an estimate. And they did an amazing roof replacement work. I would highly recommend this extremely professional company!!

We used them to replace the roof on our 1960 craftsman house. They needed to remove 5 layers of roofing, install new plywood, call for inspection and Install new shingles. They got all of that done in 7 days. They pulled the permit for me, I didn't have to go to the city or anything and they passed all inspections on the first try.

They were skilled, courteous, and professional. They replace my Slate roof. Work was performed timely. Amit the supervisor stayed on site the whole time. I highly recommend this company and would use them again!!

The team arrived, tore down the existing roof to the wood, and replaced the roof and all ancillary components in one day. The roof cost $13,000. It was about the same price as another place. However, it seemed like they didn't cheat by laying over old roof which the last place did. They were very fast in doing the roof.

We looked at three other companies. Express was the only one that was not pushy, was not late, was all over professional, and they were competitive in pricing. They finished the job in a timely manner. Amit was easily accessible for any questions that I had. The roof looks great.

Amit and his crew did a great job installing a brand new cool roof, as the 30 year-old shingles that comprised our previous roof were curling up and on their last legs. I was able to get a rebate from LADWP at the rate of 20 cents per square foot contingent on the new roof meeting the threshold for minimum reflectivity. It cost $12,570; I got this pricing by getting a competitive quote from another roofing company and then negotiating additional features against that quote like cost of some required additional shiplap wood and plywood, a reflective radiant barrier on the underside of the roof visible from inside the garage, extra thick material under the shingle tiles themselves and over the plywood, replacement of flashings, etc. Amit was very honest, responsible and reliable throughout the process. The quality of the roof work was great. However, there was debris that came down on the attic floor after the days of pounding. When we requested that he return with his crew to clean up the debris, he reported that this often happened but that he was not responsible to do any cleaning as stated in his contract. Following the work, I noticed that in the attic there were quite a few nails that were poking down through the ceiling; I told him it was dangerous to walk there due the possibility that these sharp nails could injure someone. He agreed to return and bend back those protruding nails so that they were no longer a hazard. Overall he did a superior job at a reasonable price. I would hire him again.

Amit was recommended by a friend, and also ended up being the best price we found. They were able to reroof our house the next week after we called and the job was completed a day sooner than expected. Just for an added bonus, Amit is as nice of a guy as you could ask for.

Went well. Cleaned up the area after completion. Now that the first rains are here we'll find out if the reroof did what it was intended.

Amit’s bid was the lowest I got for comparable quality materials, and the time frame to complete the job was the shortest. We did find significantly more damage to the roof deck than expected (due to very knotty pine planks used on the original construction), but the team finished the job with minimal time overrun.

We worked with Amit on re-roofing our entire house earlier this year after massive rainstorms. We were initially worried about the cost and time it would take to re-roof our flat and shingle roofs, but Amit was very calm and reassuring. Express Roofing was very professional during the tear-down and re-roofing process, handling all permits and getting our house ready before and after each day. We initially thought the process would take a long time, but the reroof was done very quickly in two days. Amit even came out himself at the end of the work to inspect the roof, and checked our driveway and patio for loose shingles or nails. The foreman and the crew were very efficient, arriving very early each day to start the work. Amit and the Express Roofing crew was very professional, organized, and efficient throughout the entire process. I was very pleased with the end results, and would highly recommend them for your roofing!

Very efficient crew that was able to take the old roof off, replace rotting wood, and re-shingle the entire house in 2 days. They were very thorough and the finished roof looks very professional. Crew cleaned up well and paid attention to details. Amit, the owner is pleasant to deal with and does exactly what he says. Price is also competitive vs other quotes I received. Would recommend.

Excellent. Amit was very thorough and professional in explaining the work needed and the details of the contract. A drain was installed and some sections built up to minimize the pooling on this large flat roof. His crews were punctual and worked fast.

The job went very well. I was impressed that Amit killed it with regards to knowledge & professionalism, AND he had the lowest price (of three bids) by over $1000! The crew showed up early on the scheduled day. Amit was very pro-active with regard to updating the schedule based on completion of another job and the weather. He communicated all the details of what would happen ahead of time and was able to coordinate with the schedule of my AC and electrical guys so that the job execution was flawless. The tear off and sheathing was done by a sub-contractor, all in one day. The only problem encountered was when a sturdy member of the tear-off crew stepped on a rotted edge board and had his foot go through it and the ceiling of the interior room. The crew was going to fix it themselves, but Amit wanted to make sure it was done to his standards, so he stopped them and deducted the cost of the repair by my patching crew. (I had a crew coming to repair the holes from my electrical re-wiring job.) The roofing shingles were delivered later that day onto the roof, right on schedule. Since it was a Friday, he had his roofing guys do the roof on Saturday, so we were able to watch the work progress. They started at 7:30 am and performed the work like textbook. They started at the valley where two ridge lines met and worked out towards the outer edge while keeping the rows of shingles staggered. (I attached pictures of the work in progress and the repaired wood near the eaves.) There were a couple of edges that curled up, but after a week or so everything settled down nicely. The only minor markdown was responsiveness, because Amit was a little bit harder to speak to after the job. Regardless, the roof is beautiful and I would highly recommend Amit and Express Roofing to anyone looking to re-roof.

the owner Amit Sinay was super friendly and very professional. he came in quoted me a price on the spot. unlike a few others that i interviewed for the project. the job was done in two days. everything looked great. use him, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent, Amit's crew was neat, fast, caring, friendly & did excellent work. All work was finished in 3 days. I had received other estimates & I chose Amit & his company as he gave a very competitive price that also included extras for ventilation, etc & allowed me to receive the highest rebates. Also the LA Permit was less than the others as he has been preapproved by LA B&S. I found Amit easy to work with when finalizing the price. & was extremely satisfied with the results. This was for a rental house in Granada Hills & I will definitely use Amit & his company again for other properties.

Amit did an awesome job. The new roof really looks nice and professional. Each and every material he used is of high quality. He also installed two sun tunnels on my roof. They are working great too. They clean up pretty well too. The cost is more than reasonable. The best part is that it was done in just a couple of days which was extremely favorable for my family. Most other roofing companies were estimating a longer time for completion. In general, Amit understands the value of money and hence I'll suggest not to have any doubt about that when you are working with Amit. There have been many improvements done in my house. This is one of the very few projects where I have a real satisfaction after spending the money.
