 + -1 moreAs promised I received a call later the same day with estimate of repair cost. When I agreed. He advised me that he had a new vacuum that was better that cost only 15 more. So I told him to hold off making repair. I went back next day and purchased new vacuum I was very happy with purchase

Description of Work: I had an old vacuum cleaner that had a bad electrical connection and needed repairs. I visited Bob's where a man was very knowledgeable about vacuum cleaners. He was able to tell me the probable repair required and approximate cost of repairs to our old vacuum based on my description of the symptoms. When I asked about the new Miele machines that Bob's sells, he promptly showed me the various floor samples and described both the good and bad features of each and compared them with other makes. More detail than perhaps the average purchaser might want or need. After looking elsewhere and talking with sales people I was convinced that what I was being told by them was inaccurate and misleading. I return several days later to Bob's where my additional questions were quickly answered and I made my purchase decision for a specific model. Unfortunately it was not in stock at the particular store where I was but, after checking with another store, was advised that it could be delivered to my home later that day. In about an hour and a half it was had delivered and the man set it up, checked the operation and I could proceed with vacuuming the house.

 + -1 moreOverall, I thought it was a pleasant place. I didn't get the hard sell, but I did get some good advice.
Description of Work: I had my older Kenmore vacuum plug repaired. It was fairly cheap to do and was done in a couple days. At the same time, I decided to upgrade to a Miele vacuum. I did a bit of checking prices and reviews on line. I thought the prices at Bob's were in line with what I was finding. Plus Richard was very helpful in describing the differences in the different machines and gave me a little discount on a discontinued model. I now have two vaccums, which might be a bit of overkill, but I thought it would be handy to not have to drag one across the house . No excuse for not having a clean house anymore!

 + -1 moreTHE MACHINE WORKED GREAT AFTER THEY WORKED ON IT...BUT THEN IT BEGAN TO HAVE OTHER PROBLEMS LATER ON. PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN BEST JUST TO HAVE BOUGHT A NEW REPLACEMENT ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!
Description of Work: WE HAD TO BRING IN OUR VACUUM BECAUSE IT WASN'T PICKING UP AT ALL. THEY TESTED IT AND SAID WE NEED A NEW MOTOR AND SOME OTHER MINOR REPAIRS.
