Mountain Home Cleaning

When I first reached out to Jennifer (owner), she was very pleasant on the phone and sounded like she would be responsible. I was looking for a house cleaner for my 86 y/o mother who lives in Homewood. Jennifer said that her house placement would be a good fit for her company because my mother was close in proximity to her business. I hired Jennifer and she came out to my mom's place and met and spoke with her. Jennifer texted me and said that she'd charge $200 to clean the house monthly. She said that my mom needed her to be able to come by at 11:00 as she (my mom) had other appointments to go to. Jennifer said that she would be there at 11:00. I sent her the $200 ahead of the job. BIG MISTAKE! At 12:30 Jennifer called and said she couldn't make it, but she'd be there on Monday at 11:00. Monday came and she called my mom at 11:00 and said that she forgot it was Labor Day so she wouldn't be able to make it but how about if she came on Wednesday instead. My mom said that would be okay as long as it wasn't any later than 11:00 and Jennifer said there wouldn't be a problem. She showed up at 1:30 as my mom was getting ready to leave for her appointment. Jennifer became 'nasty' (as my mom put it) and told my mom that it was all her fault that she, Jennifer, couldn't make it on time. I asked Jennifer for my $200 back. She said that she had two others gals with her and she had to pay them (my mom didn't see the 2 people that she was claiming to have brought with her). I asked her again for my $200 back as services were not rendered. She ignored my text and wouldn't answer her phone. I asked her a third time with no response. I decided to post reviews in hopes of helping others to not get the shaft.
