"Very well. Clean job site at the end of each day, always early and great communication. He also installed new hardware in my tub that the plumber had been unable to complete as there was no access from outside. He also repaired a dry rot corner of my house. I highly recommend him."

"Outstanding!! Called on a Sunday, when they are not open and left a message. Received a call back the same day and they sent a technician out the same day as well! They confirmed what we already knew, that we needed a new unit. Ours was 25 years old and quit running in 104* weather! They gave estimates and were very prompt and helpful on the same day, (Sunday.) We were able to choose a unit best suited for us and they answered any questions we had all within hours of us calling them. The next day on Monday they came to our house and started work when they left Monday, they were practically done! Had the unit there and running and had enough vents hooked up to keep us cool and comfortable until they could come back the next day. They had also enlarged our return air duct and filter which we had wanted and needed done because ours was too small to cool the house correctly. And installed a new smart thermostat that needed additional wiring at no charge that we had bought. They did a duct pressure test, removed all the air supply registers sealed them with insulation tape and replaced the registers, fuel gas piping and condensate piping, and removed old unit. They arrived early the next day (Tuesday) and in about 2 1/2 hours they were completely done. Everyone of the employees deserves a huge THANK YOU! They were so friendly, informative, knowledgeable, professional, and hardworking. We can't say enough good things about our experience with them. We will use them for all our needs from now on! Thanks guys, you were absolutely GREAT! Job well done, over and beyond. If we could give more than an A we would..."

"Jim is local. It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job. He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer, Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"I evaluated 5 bids for my rooftop PV installation: 4 local firms and one regional firm (NRG). I was very glad to have chosen NRG. Their bid was the cheapest by a significant margin. The site survey, design and installation process was quick and smooth, despite the tribulations of the ongoing COVID-19 threat. Production from the system is exceeding specification, and my first monthly electric bill was -$15."

Common repairs for central vacuum cleaners include motor repair, electrical repair, and blocked filters. Central vacuum motor issues typically come with a burning smell and loss of suction. With these issues, you might need simple lubrication to keep it running smoothly, or for more extreme problems, you could need a motor replacement.
Electrical problems or losing suction strength, might be reasons to swap out electrical components for new ones. However, a local central vacuum repair professional can tell you the best plan of action for your system.
The average cost for central vacuum cleaner repair is $310, though prices can range from $120 to $500. Your total cost will depend on the type of repair needed and the type of central vacuum you own.
A minor motor repair, like lubrication, only costs around $50. However, if you need to replace your motor, you’ll be looking at a much higher price tag with a total of $100 to $500. Other fixes, like electrical work, are charged by the hour, which ranges from $15 to $55 per hour.
A central vacuum system can last between 10 and 20 years if maintained properly. The frequency of use and amount of maintenance dictate its lifespan. These central systems last significantly longer than portable vacuum cleaners, which last 8 to 10 years on average. Keep your central vacuum system in good condition by checking the hose, wand, and attachments for clogs and emptying the debris bag regularly.
The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.
Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed HVAC technician could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
