concrete driveways
+ -1 moreAntonio did pretty good work at a good price. I supervised all aspects of the project and was on site during virtually all of it. The project got started quickly and progressed fairly quickly. We did all concrete first while we were waiting for the stone to arrive (backordered). The concrete work was done in about a week. Once our stone arrived, work began on the patio. The first issue that we had with the patio was that we wanted them to lay some of the large stones as intact pieces and they would prefer to break them in to pieces that are easier to manage. After telling them the 3rd time it got through. There are a lot of instances of cracking grout. THINGS TO KNOW: Antonio's English is not great, but I had no problems. His sons are native english speakers. I would let these guys do concrete work without supervision, but I'm not sure about stonework. If you don't know exactly what you want and tell them, they may do what they want without asking you.
Description of Work: We had Antonio and Sons remove an old driveway, install a new one, and build a flagstone patio. The new driveway is the type with a strip of grass down the center. The patio is Three Rivers Flagstone on concrete, and includes second small patio and path in between. We did not do the driveway apron. The concrete was finished with an "antique" finish to fit better with the look of our house. This basically means that they gently wash off the cream after the concrete has set, leaving some of the sand exposed for an aged look.
