TV UNLIMITED

They were generally professional with a couple of exceptions. The first tech that made the house call was very professional and I felt confident in his abilities to diagnose accurately what was wrong. He was very friendly and courteous. The woman that I spoke to on the phone regarding the estimate has very broken English and was tough to understand at times, but she was always friendly. The problems started when the second tech came to reinstall and assemble my TV after the board was taken to the shop for repair. This person was very unprofessional and did not give me a comfortable feeling at all. Once the TV was reassembled I turned it on and it had horrible convergence issues, looked like a 3D movie without the glasses. This person tried to convince me that it was normal and that my TV tube was bad and that I needed to spend $800 to replace the tube. Thankfully I have a little more knowledge than that and demanded that they pick up the TV and resolve it. It took several attempts!

TV Unlimited is now at 1296 Kifer Road #601 Sunnyvale Ca 94086 408-733-6913, Charge $75 to look at camcorder. They called next day for authorization to repair for additional $85. They repair next day. Took camcorder home and cartridge jam again. Returned camcorder for repair again. Took them almost 2 months to repair. I called them every couple of weeks for status and they said they would call back but never did. After about 6 weeks women said their video person left two weeks ago and another one would be available soon. Finally after a total of about 2 months they called after I called them and said camcorder ready. There was no additional charge. They repair jam cartridge and replaced video heads with used ones as they said new ones are very expensive. Final receipt was dated a week before they contacted me to pick up. Camcorder appears to still be working although not as good as before I dropped it.

THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. THEY CONNECTED ALL CABLES BACK TO THE TV WHEN THEY FIXED IT. THIS MAY SOUND TRIVIAL BUT I HAVE A LOT OF CABLES. THE COST TO HAVE THE TV FIXED WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE BUT THEIR PRICE WAS IN THE SAME BALLPARK AS EVERYONE ELSE. I WENT WITH THEM BECAUSE THEY ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS OVER THE PHONE.
