My wife and I were looking for a new garage door.  We did some investigation on line reviewing different garage door companies different styles, and different prices.  We had used Overhead Door Company of Santa Clara previously to replace our garage door motor.  We decided after stopping by the Overhead Door Company office and looking at some of their sample doors and brochures, to work with Overhead Door Company.  The sales manager - Derrick Baggerly - came out to measure our requirements. We went to the Overhead Door Company office to look again at sample doors and review the different door styles.  After much debate, we settled on a "carriage style door with rain glass windows".  While price was important to us - $6K is not inexpensive - we were looking for a high quality wood door that would meet our ascetic requirements as well as our long term quality requirements.  There are other door styles (modern for example) and door products (aluminum for example), but we were interested in a wood door with the carriage style and with glass windows. Derrick generated a sketch of the type of door we selected with dimensions for our review, and after some final thoughts, we ordered the garage door.
Initially Derrick said the time span for delivery of the new garage door would be 4 to 6 weeks. The door was ready in about 4 weeks.  We had it delivered in conjunction with our house painting, so the new garage door could be painted.
Once the door was painted, we contacted the office and scheduled their team to come to the house and hang the new garage door.  The team of Andre, Sammy, and Rick arrived on time and were extremely professional.  They dismantled the old door and hauled it away.  They hung the new door in about 3 to 4 hours.  Andre was very experienced and new exactly what needed to be done.  He made sure that all the details were done properly, and the fit was perfect and the door worked as promised.  The new door is so much quieter than the old door (the old door with metal wheels and old springs was 40 years old). 
We could not be more pleased with the professionalism, courtesy, and expertise of the entire Overhead Door Company of Santa Clara Valley team.

He recommended replacing both springs as the other one might break soon.  He re-adjusted the door travel. 
The warranty is for 6 months but the door travel needed adjustment after 9 months so the charge for that was $ 115.00   :(

I had used these guys in the past and was a repeat customer. I had an emergency with my Garage Door to where we were unable to open the door. They said they could not get out to fix it for THREE DAYS. I asked if there was any way they could get out there today so I could get my car out of the garage and they said sure. If you pay us $150.00 an hour and quot;Port to Portand quot; which means from the time they leave the shop until they return. Over $500.00 for a $180.00 job. No thanks.
I called another company and quot;Five Star Garage Door Serviceand quot; in San Jose and they were able to come out today and fix the problem without gouging me on the price simply because it was an emergency. In short, Overhead Door Lost a valuable customer today. I'd much rather support a family owned company who doesn't screw their customers when they have an emergency and need them the most.

I called them around nine in the morning, and they said someone could be at our house between noon and two p.m. same day. They were on time. Ron did all of the above in less than an hour. Everything done professionally and competently, all in fine working order. Perhaps not the most elaborate job on Earth (for a professional!), but it was done to my complete satisfaction very promptly and efficiently. I would have no hesitation in calling them again, and recommend them highly. The charges were as stated on the phone, and I'm satisfied with them.

Prices are fair and the installers were punctual and quite informative and responsive to my questions.

They did an excellent job and garage door works just fine.

I'm not entirely happy with them. We have an outside keypad to open the door without using a remote. He came out and helped me get it set up and within a day or two it was not working again. It's frustrating to not be able to use it. He showed me how to reset it and it's very difficult to reset. In general, I don't like the system that is set up. The technician who came out I would say bordered on being rude and I'm fairly easy to get along with.

Our garage door would close to about a foot from the floor, then go up again. There was nothing in the way that was blocking it.

I phoned the company for a repair person and was given an appointment with a 2 1/2 hour window for two days later. When the day of the appointment came, the office person phoned me to say the technician would be late, and asked if that would be OK. It was, and she phoned again later to report that the technician was on his way. I appreciated having these updates.

Rafael from Overhead Door Company of Santa Clara Valley adjusted the electronic eyes which solved the problem. He explained how the electronic eyes worked so I could adjust them in the future if needed. But then he went on to adjust and lubricate other parts of the door, tightened nuts and bolts, adjusted the limits, and tightened the spring, giving the door an all-over servicing. He gave us a 90-day guarantee for his work (no parts were replaced.)

They were very good; they were efficient and on time. They were Super Service Award winner, so that’s why I called them, and they lived up to it.

Overall it went okay. There was a minimum charge for coming out to do the work. The remote for the car just needed a new battery. The external keypad needed a new battery and a new code. The lubricant was applied but the technician spilled it on my garage door leaving a oil stain on the door. I'm not worried about it as we are about to get the exterior of the house painted. If the house was already painted I would have been upset.

The response was very quick. He arrived on time and got straight to work. No dilly dallying around. He had to work in a crowded area and did so with no complaints. He didn't make me feel like I was wasting his time when I asked questions. Hopefully, I won't need repairs again in the near future. If I do, I wouldn't think twice about calling again.

They are very good. I wasn’t expecting to need my garage door opener replaced but they convinced me that my old one was too old and there weren’t replacement parts for it. They were very clean, helpful, and friendly. I’ve always used them and I’ve never really compared their price with anyone else.

They did a great job. They had to come out only a few times because they do such a great job. Their price was reasonable; I paid $225 for the job. They were efficient and punctual. They didn’t overcharge me. They come out fast because I couldn’t open my garage door. I’ll definitely use them again in the future.

Started experiencing problems with my garage door opener. Door would only open a few inches; when I tried to "manually" open the door, the door would not stay up. Called Overhead Door Company the next morning and they had a repair person out within 90 minutes. Gave me a 30-minute call, as promised, so I could be home in time for the repair person's arrival. Ron determined the cause right away and adjusted the spring. He also lubricated all the door hinges and made some adjustments in the door opener itself so that the door opened and closed properly. Finished everything in less than 30 minutes. Door works like a charm now.

We went to the showroom in person to see what was available. A representative came out to our house and took all the measurements needed and gave us instructions on what we needed to do in our garage prior to installation. We also finalized our choices on the style, windows and opener. The workers showed up on time and got the job done with no problem. They took our old wooden doors away. We were very pleased with the entire experience.

Our door was not moving up and down correctly and they checked the system and adjusting the rails, to ensure the smooth flow of operation. They were very courteous, very professional and we really liked the fact, that they knew what they were doing.

Great. The technician was knowledgable, professional, and polite. He gave me useful information about how to care for my door, and he pointed out little things which needed fixing. He tightened several loose bolts and got the door running smoothly at no extra charge.

THE RESPONSE WAS PROMPT AND THE COMPANY PERFORMED THE WORK SATISFACTORILY. THEY DID TAKE SOME TIME TO FIGURE OUT THE ISSUE BUT ONCE THEY DID, IT WAS A QUICK FIX.
