LP Construction Company

It went great. We were going to renovate our pool. I called 7 pool remodeling companies; only 3 showed up. Of those, only two gave us a bid -lowest bid was $38,000 without a deck. The 3rd guy - after 3 phone calls & multiple emails, gave a stupid excuse why he didn't give us a bid. After this we decided to demolish the pool, the lowest bid was $15,000 & the highest was $28,000. Both bids consisted of a one sentence description. Leo Picolllo, LP's owner, returned my call in 1 day, came to the house within 2 days, spent 45 minutes telling us what he would do, wrote up the bid (took up half a page to describe the job), and told us he could start in a week. When I got the permit, the county employee said that the description was excellent, and that the contractor knew what he was doing. The work started a couple of days late due to rain, but was done within a week. Leo wouldn't let us pay him until he was finished, & we were happy. Amazing - if only all contractors were like him.

Mr. Picollo told us step by step what he was going to do and when. Since he was going across our neighbor's lawn, he devised a way to do the least damage by putting tires on the grass with steel plates on top. This let him drive his heavy tractor over their lawn. He also dug up the roots in our front lawn since we are replacing it anyway.
