 + -1 moreIt went fine. Steve is easygoing. We discussed what I wanted and he gave me a receipt for the stone and I came back in 3 weeks to pick up my ring. For a more elaborate ring, you probably would have to come back to approve the design before he cast it. However, I wanted something very simple and he had a number of rings based on a similar design, so I just let him go for it and I was very pleased. However, it probably would have been better to request a written quote up front. I did not do that, but in this case it was not an issue. I did not do any comparisons to other jewelers. He also provided an appraisal for insurance.
Description of Work: We were looking for a jeweler to design a setting for a 5 carat sapphire. Steve came up with a classic design with trillion side stones, which looked fantastic with the sapphire.
