We called with only a couple of weeks notice and Alice was very friendly and professional and fit me in. On the scheduled day we met Mr. Lee at the house and went over the details - I provided the paint (which I prefer) and they arrived on time and completed the job with very meticulous detail and excellent clean up in less time then estimated. Excellent experience, will definitely be calling them again to paint the rest of the house!

Working with Mr. Lee was an excellent experience, He returned my initial call promptly, set up an appointment to do the estimate that was convenient for my schedule, and showed up exactly on time. The estimate was thorough and accurate. Mr. Lee was very knowledgeable about what was required for each room, both with the painting and minor repairs, and even provided advice on color choices and types of paint that would be suitable. He did not try and upsell any special or unnecessary services, did not steer us towards any particular brands of paint, and actually explained some options for stretching our budget by approaching the work in different ways. Wei live in an old home that has a lot of trim and pane glass windows, so the cost for paining can be quite high. Mr. Lee and his crew were courteous, professional, and meticulous. The quality of the work as excellent. I will use Mr. Lee again for future paining jobs, and would recommend him without hesitation.

The job took two days for James Lee and his two assistant painters. They arrived on time and worked diligently both days. James went far out of his way to solve a wallpaper problem caused by the previous owner, who may have used super glue (or something similar) instead of wallpaper paste to attach a paper strip along the top of the walls in two bathrooms and one bedroom. Previously, I had tried to remove the strips, but in some places my work was doing so much damage to the wallboard that I decided to wait and get professional help. James recommended getting a drywall expert for one of the bathrooms, but the other two rooms looked great after he worked on them, and even the bathroom looks pretty good, so I'll probably wait awhile to call someone else about it. Overall, I'm very happy with the work, and I think the price was very good.

Mr. Lee was very professional in all aspects. He arrived promptly for an estimation and conducted a thorough assessment of the job. He offered suggestions on paint color, but allowed me to stay with my decisions. I asked him to provide a dollar amount for each floor of my 3-story house and he did that. I accepted the cost provided and scheduled the job for the following week. Mr. Lee's costs included all materials and labor. He and his crew arrived promptly everyday @ 8:00 and left at 5:00. The crew was very professional, personable and task-oriented. Mr. Lee asked questions when he ran into puzzling situations and included me in all decisions. He and his crew cleaned up every day and left the paint with me for future touch ups. He and his crew were responsible for removing and replacing window blinds and assisted in moving major furniture if needed, although the onus of moving the furniture to the center of the room fell on me. He and his crew paid extra attention to detail. It's amazing how he managed to paint behind the wall-mounted flat screen tv without requiring it to be dis-mounted. Excellent!!!
Mr. Lee required 50% deposit at the beginning of the job with the balance paid at the end. I am very satisfied with the work; very professional and very good-looking! I highly recommend Mr. Lee and would definitely use him again! Thanks Angie's List!!!

Mr. Lee and his crew did a beautiful job. They arrived promptly each day, were professional, and the work was done earlier than estimated. The price was very reasonable as well.

The overall experience is very good. They did a wonderful job patching up scores of holes and uneven surfaces. They applied two coats of paint to all walls and some of the doors (ceiling was not included). The 3 men crew spent one whole day to finish their job and cleaned up afterwards. The result was great for a rental home. The landlord was very happy about the new look of her house. We had an open house that weekend. Most potential tenants liked the home too.

Technique advice: Make sure the quoted price covers all items you wanted to be painted. Walls of all rooms: include bedrooms, den, living room, dining room, family room and hall way walls are in the same category. Kitchen and baths are quoted separately. Base boards, doors, window frames are quoted separately. Ceiling are quoted separately. Make sure you and James are on the same page. Wish you have a good experience as I did.

Mr. James was the one who came over to our place for estimate and job, was on time both the times. He and his crew were professional, experienced and very neat. They did an excellent job and the price was well below the other estimates.

Everything went well. However, I had to point out several areas that were missed that I thought he would paint without a reminder. However, once I mentioned it to him, he rectified the situation.

James and his team were very professional and punctual. They did the job in less time than estimated. I would rate them A- on quality. The only reason I didn't rate them excellent on quality was I found a couple of places where the paint dripped on a couple of windows and a window sill. Nothing serious and not worth calling them back.

The were very professional and very much on time. A crew came to paint the inside, it was probably a little bit pricey, but not too pricey. They just did a really nice job.

The work was done efficiently and the quality was great! The price was unbeatable. I looked at a couple of different companies that I found on Angie's list and this has the best prices. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future when I repaint the exterior.

James gave me an estimate that was considerably lower than everyone else I'd contacterd. Low bids generally concern me but because he had such good reviews on Angies List I decided to go with him. It was a good decision. They were in and out in half a day, the work was very good, they were very neat and the price was exactly as quoted. (I purchased the paint, James priovided everything else). I'll definitely use Golden again!

I wanted to hire them to remove the wallpaper and paint the walls, but they just wanted to remove the wallpaper first to see what the walls looked like. The did a great job of removing the wallpaper without leaving any mess, but the walls were in pretty bad shape underneath. They declined to repair and paint the walls, suggesting that I call in a drywall expert first to do the repairs and then have them back to do the painting. I didn't have that much cash to put into the job and ended up doing the repairs and painting myself. I thought the charges of $570 to remove the paper were a little high considering that it only took them a couple of hours.

James Lee managed the crew and did a lot of the work himself too. He's a pretty jolly guy, easy to get along with but a hard worker too, and his crew worked very hard and pretty efficiently. I changed my mind about the trim color after a couple of windows were painted, they were very good-natured about it and didn't even charge me extra for the new batch of paint required. They arrived on time each day, completed the job in 5 days and left virtually no mess behind. There is one area I might complain about. One part of the backside of the house, which had the worst deterioration, really needed more thorough preparation than it received. Eight months later and I can already see the paint starting to fail there. On the other hand, I sort of expected some of that when I saw that this company's estimate included 3 days of prep, while two other companies estimated 5 days of prep and total estimates that were several thousand higher.

The job was well done - efficiently and in a timely manner. They came back and finished the new doors after the whole house was painted. They responded to any requests yet kept within the stated bid price. They were the lowest bidder for the job. We're so pleased with their work that they will soon be doing the entire exterior of the duplex.

The entire job took roughly 3 days. He spent an afternoon prepping the place, one day to paint, and an extra 1/2 day to complete the 3-coat paint on the kitchen cabinets. The job was completed very much to my satisfaction.

He came out quickly and promptly, provided a thorough explanation of his quote and seemed more professional than the the other 3 quotes I got. He also did the entire job in one day, using 3 coats as well as caulking where necessary.

Other than having to call 3 times to confirm the start date of our job, it went well. They were on time and cleaned up the area after they were done. They also did some touch up around the border of the backsplash our granite countertops for no extra charge.

Extremely well. About $900 cheaper than the next lowest estimate I received. They told me they would be there on one of two days and they came as expected. They were alone in the house (we just left a door open for them) and nothing in the house was disturbed. They did a beautiful job--from matching the colors, to the prep work, caulking to the painting itself. Would use them again in a heartbeat! I have only the best things to say about the quality of their work, their integrity, and their professionalism.

James the owner provided us with a reasonable estimate that wasn't different from the final bill. We wanted to purchase our own paint, and he gave us an almost perfect estimate as to what would be needed. All through the job from estimate to work, he was prompt. He was there with his crew, they were all amazing! Within two days everything was painted and cleaned up. The lines of demarcation between colors were perfect which as we have rounded corners was difficult to do well. We had a convenient week to do the painting but forgot to call until the week before; he was still able to accommodate us. James is very kind and easy to work with, it was a pleasure to have him in our home with his crew.

It took almost a week to get the estimate, but then we were on the schedule within a couple weeks. Very straight-forward. Experience; they were clean and efficient, and quick. The owner stays on site, which was important to us. Their price is very fair, a bit lower than some others.

We had used this company for interior painting of one of our rental houses and were quite satisfied, so decided to have them paint the exterior of the house we occupy. There was about a 5 week lead time. The owner, James, was always on site working, then had a crew of 4 other men. They worked cleanly and efficiently, finishing in 1 1/2 days. The price was reasonable and they did quality work. We wish their schedule had not been so booked up, but I guess being busy means they are in demand because they do a good job.

Excellent. Showed up on time. Kept things clean. Drop clothed everything that needed it. Have a definite process by which the go, and they go fast. Took a bit longer then one day, but was back early the second day to finish up. Will use again (for the other 40% of the house).
