Description of Work: Replace broken latch on a bracelet. Converted earrings into pendant earrings. This involved soldering and creation of a "loop" attached to the studs provided. I thought it was rather expensive but I was delighted with the work.

Description of Work: I needed to replace a broken pin in my mens dress watch band. The owner was very attentive and polite for this minor repair (which nonetheless was very important to me since I could not wear my watch without it). The charge for his service was very reasonable.

 + 1 moreExcellent prompt service. The work was done within 10 minutes. Very very reasonable pricing. I have gone there for several items over the last year and highly recommend Fred's for watch and jewelry needs. The shop also has watches and clocks for sale at reasonable prices. So much easier than going to the mall and an expert can guide you through your needs. If you have longer service needs you can get your grocery shopping done at Safeway next door.

 + -1 moreFred's store is conveniently located next to Safeway on Hollenbeck. The hands were broken off a favorite old decorative clock, and it had been stored in a drawer for awhile. I happened to see Fred's review on Angie's list and decided to see if he could fix the clock. He said he could fix it in about 20 minutes and the charge would be $15. What a bargain! I shopped at Safeway while he fixed the clock. When I returned clock was working great--new hands and a new battery. It's nice to have an old favorite back in working condition.

 + 1 moreI took in a clock where the hands overlapped and no longer moved. I expected to leave it and come back in a few days, instead it was fixed on the spot in less than 10 minutes. While I was waiting, I looked over a couple of watch bands and was able to have a new band put on my sports watch right on the spot. I highly recommend Fred's for all your clock and watch needs. It is an added bonus to support the local craftsman too!
