They started the foundation from the back of the lot toward the house and when they went to tie in found that it wasn't level and to fix it they were going to have to take out all the existing frame work and replace it. If they had started at the house they wouldn't of had to spend so much time and money fixing this problem. After shoddy craftsmanship, unexplained construction delays, double the cost of the original scope I had to fire them because they were not responsive to my project. I eventually to hire someone else to finish the project and fix all their mistakes. Floors were uneven, ceilings had to be furred to make the existing even with the new which they should have done. Ceiling jousts were constructed wrong and had to be changed. His framework did not pass one inspection, and the money I gave him for mechanicals was wasted because I had to pay a plumber, HVAC, and electrician to redo all of the work plus pay for the materials he should have already furnished with my money. During this whole process he kept trying to upsell the other parts of the job he wasn't hired to do as well as trying to get me to my material on credit for another job which would credit my job. So glad I didn't take that bait. I also had to pay for a lien an asbestos company put on my house because Fernando took my money I paid for the report and did not pay them. The asbestos company tracked them down and got a check from them which bounced. That's why they put a lien on my house which I had to pay again to get the lien removed. I have since learned that his electrical sub hasn't been paid for work and that this has become an issue and he will no longer take his jobs. After more than several attempts to contact Fernando, Tino, and the rest at Humbert Construction I have gotten no response and am now going to have to try and sue them in small claims court. Steer Clear. This guy Fernando basically stole my money and had no intention of making good on our contract. What a crook.
Description of Work: Fernando was the contractor I worked with and basically we were adding 1100sq ft to about 1000 sq ft house. This company was in charge of all of the framing, foundation, and mechanicals for the new construction and tying in to the existing.
