Neal showed up for an estimate and did a thorough inspection. He recommended several different finishes, and provided examples of each on the actual deck. Once the finish was decided upon, I left on a business trip with my wife. While I was away, Neal reported on his progress, which was quite fast, and had it all done and cleaned up on our return.
The work was excellent, and it still looks new! It will be quite a while until it needs refinishing, but I'll certainly call him again for the work - or for any construction we may need.

Neal works by himself so it does take longer than if there were an entire crew on the job, but he only works on one job at a time and, therefore, you get his full attention all of the time that he is on your job.  He is very professional and a skilled craftsman with innovative approaches to all of the difficult issues that arise.  We are very pleased with the finished product and Neal's attention to detail and the pride he takes in his work..

He works alone (no helpers or day laborers), he purchases all of his materials for cash (so there is no worries about getting lien releases), he is a licensed contractor and holds a bachelor's degree from Arizona State University.  He is a master professional and craftsman.  It takes him a little longer to complete the job, but the end result is well worth the wait.  We interviewed several alleged deck experts, but this fellow's work was as good or better than all of the rest.  His initial price started out higher than his competition, but with a little coaxing, he agreed to beat all of their prices and he agreed to start right away; and, most importantly, he only works on one job at a time--a blessing if you have ever had major work done around your home.
