EVERYTHING  MEASURED  CAREFULLY,AND SQUARED.   DID EXTRA WORK TO ASSURE THE JOB WAS DONE CORRECTLY WHICH INCLUDED DIGGING OUT THE DRIVEWAY TO A 1 FOOT DEPTH WHERE THE 13-FOOT GATE WERE TO OPEN TO ALLOW FOR CLEARANCE, NOT PART OF THE ESTIMATE.  DUG AWAY DIRT FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE FENCING TO AVOID WATER AND MUD BUILDUP.  USED STAINLESS SCREWS NOT NAILS TO INSTALL PANELS.  GATE WORKS PERFECT TO THIS DAY.  INSTALLED SEPT 2010.

TO GIVE YOU AN IDEA OF THE SIZE OF THE JOB, WE HAD 25 4X4'S CEMENTED FOR THE FENCING PLUS 2 6X6 POSTS FOR THE GATE.

I HAD PLANNED TO PUT IN THIS RECOMMENDATION WHEN MARTIN FINISHED THE WORK, BUT WHEN I WENT ONLINE TO ANGIE'S LIST I SOMEHOW GOT THE IMPRESSION I HAD TO JOIN TO PUT IN A REVIEW SO I DID NOT DO IT,  I HAVE NOW JOINED AND HAVE FOUND OUT i WAS WRONG ABOUT BEING A MEMBER TO DO A REVIEW.... MY MISTAKE.

WORK WAS DONE AS PROMISED AND AREA CLEANED. GREAT GREAT JOB!!!

IN SEPTEMBER 2010 MARTIN ALSO INSTALLED 450 SQ FEET OF TILE IN A RENTAL HOME. THE KITCHEN HAD HAD LINOLEUM AND THE FLOOR WAS AWFUL, THE ORIGINAL CONTRACTOR WHO BUILT THE HOME WAS A DISASTER.  THE CEMENT FLOOR HAD TO BE GROUND AND LEVELED.  BEAUTIFUL WORK!

MARTIN ALSO PUT IN 20 TONS OF GRAVEL, HAD TO DIG OUT LONG DRIVEWAY AND GARAGE DRIVE 5-6 INCHES TO INSTALL GRAVEL.  NICE WORK.  THIS  WAS DONE IN OCT 2011.

I WILL NOT HESITATE TO  HIRE MARTIN FOR FUTURE WORK, HE IS CONSCIENTIOUS, CONSIDERATE AND THROUGH.

Some of the boards on my 2 decks and stair landing had buckled, broken, warped, and/or rotted. Martin Vargas came and estimated the amount of work and how much lumber and paint would be required. When I approved the price he ordered the paint and started early the next day. He repaired and replaced all of the damaged areas and primed and painted and then went on to do some other minor fixes that I didn't have the tools or knowledge to take care of. He was punctual, precise, and professional. He cleaned up everything before he left. I am very happy with the work and will have have back for other projects. 

i initially needed drywall touch up, some minor trim work, and stucco repair from a kitchen remodel my boyfriend didn't have time to finish. i received a couple of bids from other handymen/ contractors and ultimately went with martin after 2 friends recommended him. his bid wasn't the lowest but after seeing his work at my friend's home, i was willing to give him a try. martin did all the work himself and finished it in a timely manner.

after completing that job i kept him on to repaint all the interior trim of our house. martin sanded, filled, primed and painted every door, window, moulding and trim throughout our 1300 sqft home. he did a really great job. he was very neat. he laid tarps down where ever he worked and wrapped all the furniture in plastic.

i just recently brought him back to remove 7 windows and install new simonton 7300 retrofit windows. with the help of my boyfriend they removed, installed, trimmed out and painted all 7 windows in 2 days. they look fantastic and we love them and the work he did.
