You know those water cooler conversations where someone says they have something that needs fixing and someone else says, "You should use my guy. He's great". I'm very happy to know that I now have "a guy" I can go to for quality work in the world of auto body repair. My guy is Harry at Starco Auto Body in Sun Valley (818-504-9118).  My 2003 VW Passat was involved in an accident that scraped and dented two thirds of the passenger side of the vehicle. Due to extenuating circumstances, the repair work was going to be paid for "out of pocket". Estimates from various sources ranged from $2800 to $800. Harry was recommended by a friend. I'm glad I followed that recommendation. The damage to the vehicle was not massive. Half the repair was scrape repair, half was dent repair. The dent repair was flawless. A smooth curve was restored to the door panels with no visible deformation when examined. The color of the vehicle (gray) was a challenge to match new paint to old, that's just how that color is. Harry did a masterful job with the paint match. The work was done in a timely manner. Any questions I had, Harry was patient & thorough in answering them. If you want a "blow & go" shop that gets you in and out overnight, Starco is not your place. If you want attention to detail & a quality job, give Harry a call.
