We contacted the manufacturer (APEX) directly. They submitted a service ticket and told us that action would be taken in 2-3 weeks. Considering that this is our only TV, I found that to be a bit long, but we complied. After 3 weeks with no updates, we contacted them again. They had not yet determined how our case was to be addressed, but were told that it would be expeditied to a supervisor. After another week with no update, we called again, and were told that we needed to ship the TV (They sent a call tag) to them and it would be repaired or replaced. We should expect this process to take an addtional 2 weeks. We spent $60 on a custom built box to ship the TV, but were told that it was still damaged in shipment, and could not be repaired. Their decsion was to send a "new" unit. We picked up the unit last evening from Fed Ex, and not only was it not new, it has a gouge in the screen. DO NOT purchase this brand. Not only is the quality poor, despite the regular price tag of around $800, but the warranty service is appalling. It's not been 2 1/2 months and we still have no television. It's completely unacceptable.
