I am new to LA and don't have connections to any professionals needed in the process of buying a home such as mortgage lender, Realtor, home inspector, insurance agent, etc. I started to educate myself by reading all the reports done for my manager when he recently bought his house. Included in the pile of reports were several home inspections done for the multiple buyers who didn't close on the house. Jon's inspection report was by far the most thorough and succinct one. No fluff, just the facts in plain English. And he doesn't include lots of non-sense to prove how smart he is or justify his fee. So after I went under contract to buy a home I immediately contacted Jon to conduct the home inspection. I needed to move quickly because my due diligence period was very short, and Jon was able to do the inspection the next morning. He showed up early and took his time to investigate every element of the property both inside and out. He identified many things that were not obviously flawed but are serious nonetheless, including several code violations. I still haven't closed on the house but if I do I have a lot of confidence in my knowledge of the home and what is needed to make it right.
