NORMAN CLARKE PAINTING

Norman is a gentleman, polite and easy to have around, always a plus. But his work (and work habits) is the best part. He hand painted both primer and finish coats, and was amenable to my request to use a paint brand (Sherwin Williams) he doesn't usually use. His prices are very fair, he was always on time and always cleaned up. He even hooked us up with Luka, a carpenter (and artist) who replaced some bad fascia boards that required unusual cuts, also for a fair price.

8/07/12 update:
Some fascia that Norman painted months ago began peeling shortly after it was finished. I called Norman and he was ready to do a fix as soon as I wanted, something I put off until August when I emailed him again. He was up to refinish the fascia right away, at no additional charge, even though it would take three days because of primer/patch drying issues. This is a guy who stands by his work and is highly recommended.

Norm and his crew were fantastic. Always on time, finished the job when her said he would. Helped us find colors and then custom mixed for us. Would recommend him to friends. Not the cheapest out there, but you get what you pay for.

Their bid was in the mid-high range of the four estimates I got. Project was very smooth. Norman was always instantly available by cell, and was on site frequently to check the work and my satisfaction. The crew foreman was also professional, communicative, and attentive. I always knew exactly what was going on every day of the project. They re-did a problem area on one ceiling twice with no complaining, and were flexible when I added on some trim work to the job. The schedule ran a bit longer than we anticipated, but there was never a time where no one showed up for three or four days with no communication, as I've experienced with other contractors. The quality of the paint work was very good, and mess kept to a minimum.

Norman was very courteous and professional, and has an artist's eye because he actually is a fine artist as well. He did quality work and I would definitely use him again.

He did a super job. He came on a Monday and sanded it all down and painted it. He put on 2 coats of paint and did a beautiful job. He was quick and very clean. He took it all away with him the drop-cloth's etc. I recommended him to 2 friends of mine.

Norman has been fantastic to work with on my renovation. Made the jobs seem easier on my side of things than any other contractor I hired for the work. Helped with color selection, was flexible on scheduling. The final product was perfect, I plan to use Norman for all my wall needs in the future.

It was a great experience. They showed up on time each day. It took them 3 days to paint the kitchen. There were 2 people, very neat and clean, no drips, no brush marks, no hairs stuck in the paint. A great job. They were pleasant and respectful. A great experience if you have to have painting done.
