About us

At Dwell Floor Five, we offer retail furniture and accessories with an emphasis on custom furniture options and furniture design advice/design services. Though we specialize in custom wood and upholstery furniture, we are a one stop location for all our client’s interior and exterior furnishing needs. ​ We place a large emphasis on speed and efficiency and excellent customer service during the whole process from when our clients first walk into our show room until the actually have their merchandise in their homes. We provide an interactive experience where our clients participate from the beginning in all the aesthetic choices. We can make just about any furniture design you desire, while creating it within a very reasonable time frame. While other furniture stores take 8-12 weeks to deliver, sometimes longer, we generally can have your furniture piece ready within 2-3 weeks and sooner if needed. We pride ourselves through keeping our clients involved in the furniture design process and providing their merchandise to them in a timely, efficient manner while ensuring reasonable prices.

The whole process was fun and professional. The people they used for painting and lighting installations also did a nice job. The Dwell team was great. I will use them again for another room in the future.
Description of Work: I wanted to re-do my daughter's room from a "baby" room to a pre-teen room, but didn't want to spend too much money. Dwell came up with a floor plan, color scheme, and even made a plan to show my daughter. They treated my daughter like a "client" and took her desires into consideration. They were also supportive of my reusing/repainting som of my old furniture I had to save money. The room looks amazing and we are so happy. The loveseat/sofa that Dwell made for us is so comfortable that sometimes my daughter actually sleeps there instead of her bed. They did the entire installation of lights, paint, curtains, rug, new furniture while we were away for a vacation, so it was a surprise for her when we returned. It was a great experience.

We were excited to see what Dwell Floor Five (please do not get it confused with the magazine "Dwell" or the shop girl with the wedge will bite your head off) had to offer in the way of accessories for our new home. We had walked past it on a Saturday night and had planned on visiting it the next morning. After entering the store we were greeted by no one, even though two employees were there and looking right at us as we walked in the door. I thought I'd make idle chat with one and asked her if the store had anything to do with the magazine "Dwell". Bad idea. She bit my head off in a snide backlash. She has obviously been asked this before. I have a great idea, why don't you change your logo that looks exactly like the magazine's logo and then you won't have that problem. Anyway, we still wanted to see what they had. There were a few nice pieces, but everything was way over-priced. The same thing you can get on the west side on Labrea or Beverly. Don't bother with this shop, unless you are a glutton for rudeness and over-priced so-so.
