He was not the cheapest, very enthusiastic. Checked with four of his references they all had B+ stories, but certainly mostly pleased.
Job started great
8 or 9 contractor trucks in my driveway for the first few weeks, moving fast. Then the trouble began, I do not think he ever even looked at the plans. Engineered, approved plans. Our engineer called for a certain siding, he did not put the right one on this cost us 3 weeks of time. We got past this hurtle, HVAC ( a story all by itself, suffice it to say when I went to turn on the heat it did not function) As the HVAC could not pass inspections it held up drywall which set us back another 3-4 weeks. We had been told at the beginning that he would have a single room and bathroom livable in 5 weeks, as we were paying rent and a mortgage, did not happen. The framer he brought in top notch, the roofer good work, tile guy good, the rest terrible.The plumber was the worst, even now we are dealing with his sub par work. The Electrical was OK, just horribly slow and forgetful, no garbage disposal switch installed, as an example.
Do not under any circumstanes let him install windows.When we brought in a door and window expert we had to take as many back out as we could. flashing was wrong, no support ETC.
Promised us he would keep job site clean... OH MY GOD, bottles, trash, everywhere.
He showed up in the morning only that was it.
