I had an external hard drive that was 8 or so years old that began making the dreaded clicking noise and was unresponsive. After doing research and contacting several data recovery companies I settled on $300 Data Recovery, and am very happy with my decision. When looking at other companies it was difficult to get an actual price before the work was done, but the lowest available seemed to start at $450 and went up from there depending on difficulty. $300 Data Recovery was truly $300 for the recovery, plus $120 for the new hard drive, plus about $10 for return shipping. They were always up front about the costs involved, and did not deviate from that schedule. Also, the customer has the option of providing the replacement hard drive if they so choose, whereby eliminating that additional cost. I did not have a replacement available, so I bought one from $300 Data Recovery for what I considered a reasonable price. They were prompt and clear in their communication, sent me a listing of files that were recovered, and the replacement hard drive was from a well-known manufacturer. I would certainly recommend $300 Data Recovery if you have a hard drive that dies unexpectedly. The transaction was quick, and everyone I dealt with was not pushy (unlike with some competitors who are still trying to contact me). I would definitely use this provider again, but sincerely hope I do not have to; I have learned my lesson when it comes to data backup!

Took my computer to a big box store, and they told me the hard drive was bad. They quoted data recovery at somewhere between $750 and $2000! Didn't think my data was worth that much. My other computer guy turned me on to Brian at $300 data recovery. I filled out a form on their website, and Brian got back to me the same day and told me there was a 75% chance they'd get my data back based on my answers to his questions. I packaged it up as they recommended and mailed it to their office in Los Angeles. About a week or two later, they called to let me know they got all my data back. For three hundred dollars, NOT $750 to $2000. I did have to purchase something to store it on, so I bought a hard drive from them. What a great experience.

My wife and I went up to this company. They were incredible. It was a more complicated thing but the price was still great compared to other places. I sent the disk to them. No unexpected issues occurred. They did everything they said and they were so professional. Most companies that do data recovery level on this level do not have a fixed price. They look at the situation and then charge whatever they want. This company has fixed rates. I know exactly what I'm going to pay when I go there. It took them a day to complete the service. The reason why it cost us more was because we rushed the job. I would give them an A++++. I would give them the highest rating I would ever give any company in my life. Losing data especially at work can be a very bad situation and they recovered everything and they did exactly what they said they would do and they did it fast. I brought the stuff to someone else locally and they could not even recover the data that's why I sent it to LA.

I contacted this service online. They had me fill out their request form and contacted me by email within a day. I was provided a description of their services and cost.
I sent in my hard drive and was contacted immediately after it was received. I got updates about the progress and the eventual result that they were not able to recapture my data. They did provide several options including forwarding the drive to a different company who could provide the higher levels of service required with my problem.
I hopefully will never have to use this service again but I do recommend them for their clear communication and quick responses.

My hard drive was damaged when the laptop was dropped. I thought I had lost all my pictures and videos. I sent it to these guys and they worked exactly as advertised. They were great with sending updates on where they were in the process and what they were able to recover. They answered all my questions. They recovered 93% of my lost files for $300 + the cost of a new hard drive and shipping. WAY cheaper than the $1200 minimum I was quoted by another company. I was thrilled. Hope to never have to use them again (I am being smarter about backing up my files now), but should the situation arise, I will know who to call!

Wow! Amazing guys. Quick. Smart. Helpful. Lower cost than expected. ... I do not like most MAC repair shops. I was having problems getting a slow non-communicative Apple shop in Burbank diagnose and fix my dead hard drive. I'm a film editor and needed my machine back fast. So I took my iMac away from the Burbank place and took it to Elite Mac Techs. They were awesome. They communicated extremely well and frequently during the 1.5 days needed. No other charges. Yes. Yes. Yes. I will use them again!

Drive had crashed.  Chip Heads and the Apple store were unable to retrieve data.  Got quotes from others that started at $800 and went up from there.  Researched $300 Data Recovery and saw nothing but 5 star ratings.  These guys get it done fast, professionally, and effectively.  For $300 firm! Retrieved 99.974% of my data, and that is good enough for me.  You will not be disappointed with this outfit.  They explain their process in detail, and exercise outstanding communication by email.

They recovered the data from a corrupted hard drive.  They promised to do the job or not charge if they could not do it.  They were successful and completed the recovery quickly.  Very responsive, efficient and very good price compared to others.  Highly recommended.

The technicians I spoke with were very professional and helpful.  They knew exactly what I needed and explained everything they were going to do and how it would affect my computer.  There were several different ways to go to treat my problem and I wasn't given a hard sell to purchase the most expensive option.  It took 2 days to complete the service and I received regular updates via email every step of the way.
I don't know how their price compares to other companies, but there is a huge difference in the way my computer is running. As a result, I will continue to use this company for any future needs.

A 1GB drive in my NAS box suddenly failed to come ready.  I called one place in West LA and described the symptoms (I?ve been in IT for 40 years, so I know how to explain symptoms).  I was told that an ?invasive repair? would be needed, and it could me anywhere from $500 to $1200.

Then I found ?the low price leader,? in Florida.  They offered three-tiered pricing, $149 (flash devices), $199 for ?most? hard drives, and $499 (a limited-time special) for drives that required ?invasive? repair.  When I spoke to them on the phone and described the problem, they said it would most likely require a $199 service.  I mailed them the drive, and within a few hours after they received it, I got an e-mail saying that an ?intensive? repair was required, and I also needed to send them a $149 parts deposit, which would be non-refundable even if they could not recover the drive.  No thanks!  I asked that drive be shipped back.  So I?m out two weeks, and about $15 in postage.

Yesterday, I took my failing drive (plus a working drive of the same model) to $300DATARECOVERY.  24 hours, and $300 dollars later, I have 100% of my data back.

I don?t need to rave about my experience with $300DATARECOVERY.  The facts speak for themselves.
