I sent in my hard drive and was contacted immediately after it was received. I got updates about the progress and the eventual result that they were not able to recapture my data. They did provide several options including forwarding the drive to a different company who could provide the higher levels of service required with my problem.
I hopefully will never have to use this service again but I do recommend them for their clear communication and quick responses.
I don't know how their price compares to other companies, but there is a huge difference in the way my computer is running. As a result, I will continue to use this company for any future needs.
Then I found ?the low price leader,? in Florida. They offered three-tiered pricing, $149 (flash devices), $199 for ?most? hard drives, and $499 (a limited-time special) for drives that required ?invasive? repair. When I spoke to them on the phone and described the problem, they said it would most likely require a $199 service. I mailed them the drive, and within a few hours after they received it, I got an e-mail saying that an ?intensive? repair was required, and I also needed to send them a $149 parts deposit, which would be non-refundable even if they could not recover the drive. No thanks! I asked that drive be shipped back. So I?m out two weeks, and about $15 in postage.
Yesterday, I took my failing drive (plus a working drive of the same model) to $300DATARECOVERY. 24 hours, and $300 dollars later, I have 100% of my data back.
I don?t need to rave about my experience with $300DATARECOVERY. The facts speak for themselves.
