Someone came by my house on June 27, 2015 and gave me a quote for concrete. He even gave me a copy of the quote with the name Henry Lee. It stated on the quote from HN construction landscaping. I left a voice mail earlier this week for HN construction landscaping. No return call to have the work done. Then I wrote an email today asking about having the work done. I received a called from someone named Lee on 7/2/15. He said he never came by my house and his first name isn't Henry. I will not being doing any business with anyone at HN construction landscaping.

This company was punctual and completed a high quality job. I would definitely use them again for future projects. They also provided meaningful suggestions that resulted in a completed project that was above our initial expectations. They also maintained a clean work site.
Description of Work: Concrete work to improve a spot in front of our garage to park cars.

Generally work was done promptly, very efficiently, professionally and correctly. There was some difficulty in communication because of language difference. The workers assisting Henry Lee spoke very little English. Henry Lee's English was much better, but pronounciation was still a challenge. Therefore, there may have been things that we didn't communicate correctly or understand correctly when discussing options. We were concerned about their initial placement of some sprinklers in one of the backyard beds and that was more or less rectified. In hindsight, in one of the side yard beds the placement of a single sprinkler was probably inadequate and will require some future adjustment. Also, we ended up replacing a lot of nozzles in the plant beds ourselves later on, substituting ones more suited to rectangular spaces and thus reducing water wastage (going through the fence, for example). Our city requires a permit if you add a valve to your sprinkler system (but not if just replace all the pipes and sprinkler heads!), which I suspect is unusual. Henry Lee wasn't familiar with this type of requirement (but probably many other landscapers aren't either), and so he probably added two valves instead of one because of a concern that the city might be measuring residual (household) water pressure (it wasn't). In any case, we ended up with two valves to cover a very small backyard lawn, which was probably overkill, and a third valve for our plant beds in the back. Because the permit indicated only one additional valve, the permit change was going to cost more, but the inspector took pity on us and waived the additional charge. Henry Lee appears to be experienced, knowledgeable and conscientious, is properly licensed (not always so among landscapers). Overall he and his workers did a fine job in an efficient manner at a good price. We recommend him, especially if you are knowledgeable and clear in your own mind of exactly what you want done. It could be a little more challenging if you need to discuss a variety of options and weigh the pros and cons of each with a landscaper. Not impossible, but just a little more difficult.
Description of Work: Replaced sprinklers and sod in small backyard. Soil prep for both sod and plant beds, adding sprinklers, replacing timer and adding two valves to the original single valve. This also involved some rewiring to bring the station timer from the front to the back, separating it from the existing timer that remains for the front and side yards. In side yard, raised up one plant bed in corner against fence, adding moss rock on its front side (hypotenuse side!); Prep soil on a second plant bed against side of house. Side yard also needed some sprinklers fixed or reconnected. Work in side and back included cutting up some tree and bush roots in areas and removing a few bushes. Cost did not include city permit for new valve(s).
