"We did not preform any work for this person."
Mike and his team arrived and quickly got to work and each day they cleaned the area at the end of the day. Now I have a beautiful, professionally installed stone veneer on the front of my house. His work was so good, I referred him to a friend and I will use him again for another project.
The first day Tru-Block was on the job I liked how they prepared the base, but noticed the color of the block was not what I had expected. The catalog and RCP display had some multi-colored stones mixed in with the Brownstone I selected. What I had appeared to be all one shade. I sent Mike an email explaining this. The next morning Mike showed up with an assortment of golden, brick red and charcoal brown to mix in with the brownstone. Perfect. When I thanked Mike for doing this he essentially told me that 'if I am not happy, then he is not happy'. The worker placing the stones on the base said 'we treat this like its our own home'. Mike smiled when I told him I wasn't just happy, I am Very Happy. Moreover, I am very happy to share my experience with you.
Just after dirt excavation we were deluged with rain storm after rain storm (Dec 2012-Jan 2013). Mike, Travis and John covered the work area with plastic to minimize access of the water to the dry dirt. When there was a break in the storms, I was thinking to myself that they could probably get something done now...and there they were on the job. Mike was always open to discussing how he was proceeding, ensuring that this is what we wanted.
We and the neighbors are very pleased with the appearance of the pavers. It really looks nice. On the driveway there were existing items and slopes to match up. The sewer clean-out and surface/underground SDGE electrical box for example. The pavers flow and accommodate these items without abrupt changes in level. A noticeable detail that shows their determination to quality workmanship was their cutting of inside curves on individual pavers when needed. Around metal fence posts and the sewer clean-out, for example, they cut smooth curves in the pavers to match, using only a circular saw blade. Tricks (or skills) of the trade!
Overall Mike and crew were easy to work with, honest, skilled and determined to complete the tasking.
