Douglas Burns and Assoc.

Doug Burns is a complete professional. He greatly assisted us in determining what we needed and provided us a complete set of plans and costs for updating our old master bath. He was friendly, not intrusive and provided a set of excellent craftmen to do the necessary work. He came in right on his bid and did a great job. I would recommend him without hesistation.

We have an historic house and wanted to extend the inside character and quality to the deteriorated kitchen. We met with 4 contractors.  We liked Doug's ideas, demeanor and approach.  His price was mid-range.  He works with his son and a group of nice sub-contractors (wood floor guy was the only one we were not thrilled with).  He explained things well and always responded quickly to phone calls.  The work was high quality and he took care to have things redone when they were not exactly right.  (Example - one shelf was not quite deep enough for our liking and it was reordered at no extra cost to us).  I wanted to be my own designer and he adapted to everything I had in mind.  He and his son, Adam, are the kind of people that you can tell have integrity and pride in their work and relationships with customers.   The job went a month longer than planned, but everything was beautiful in the end.  We had all plywood boxes with white wood fronts, solid wood floors, quartz countertops, butcherblock island and marble backsplash.  Visitors love it and we are happy every time we cook!  Can't go wrong with Doug Burns and his company.  If we get around to bathroom remodel(s), it will be with Doug and Adam.

We interviewed 3 highly recommended and reputable Design and Remodeling firms for our master bathroom remodel all 3 of which were overpriced and/or pushy.  They seemed more interested in "selling" us than working with us which made us feel uncomfortable with all three.  We were referred to Doug Burns by a Salesperson at Ethan Allen Furniture, where we had recently purchased some Livingroom furniture.  The minute we met Doug we knew he would be our choice for our remodel.  He was down-to-earth and listened to our vision and needs, and it was obvious that he really cares about his clients.  He provided us with detailed schematics, phases, and costs prior to us signing a contract.  His estimated timeline for the project turned out to be exact and we knew what was going to happen each day so there were no surprises.  Doug's team of contractors is top notch.  Their work ethic is outstanding which is not easy to find.  They are professional, personable, punctual, meticulous and truly experts at their craft.  We highly recommend Doug Burns and his team for any kitchen or bath remodel.  You will not be disappointed!

Remodeling out kitchen with Douglas Burns & Associates was a great experience, and so we would love to refer the company to friends and people that are interested in redoing their kitchen. Our kitchen has a rather difficult shape with many angles and corners, but Doug figured out a beautiful and very functional design, and the rustic alder cabinets go great with our house. Everybody loves our new kitchen!

Douglas Burns and Associates has worked for us three times since 2006. We have been very impressed with the high quality of the work and the professionalism with which Doug and all his subcontractors do their job. Mr. Burns sticks to the schedule he pledges to keep and is always on time from start to finish of the project. We will hire him again the next time we need any further work on our home. We have recommended him to many of our friends as well. All of our friends who have hired Douglas Burns and Asociates to do remodelling work have been equally as satisfied with their results.

Doug Burns & Associates tore out our old kitchen,  redesigned the layout and installed our new kitchen.  All of the people who worked on the kitchen did excellent work, cleaned up when they were through and showed up when the said they would.  Our kitchen turned out just beautiful and we are very happy with it.   Overall we felt we got excellent service and would recommend them to anyone.

What a pleasure. Doug was on time for every appointment. He made a calendar and stuck to it. Every one of his subcontractors (granite, electrical, etc.) was excellent. Doug gave expert design advice and also really listened to what we wanted. He made clear, detailed plans. His craftsmanship is exquisite. In the second kitchen, he built a custom kitchen island piece with a thick butcher block top that is perfect. He even went with us to the granite yard to select just the right piece. Doug is so personable and helpful that he lowered the stress level of a big remodel considerably. Doug's son and associate, Adam Burns, is an amazing craftsman in his own right.

We spent much time trying to find someone reliable to remodel our kitchen and baths. We found Douglas Burns website and the results of his previous jobs caught our attention. We contacted him, he came to our home, listened to us and, most importantly, came back with sketches and a budget. After trying so many others who never showed up or did not hear us, we were so pleased! It was obvious that Douglas Burns was perfect for our project. It was hard not having a kitchen for awhile but Douglas Burns made it as painless as possible with promptness, taking care of all the details, helping us find the appliances, tiles, cabinets we wanted. There were no surprises at completion. All pricing was clearly explained to us and any changes we made as we went along were clearly defined as to price and ability to incorporate into the plan. The entire experience was great!

Doug did an AMAZING job on our kitchen remodeling project. He designed and built us a beautiful and highly functional kitchen. Our project was a complete remodel. In addition to installation of custom cabinets and granite countertops, it involved removing a dropped ceiling, knocking down a wall, rerouting air ducts, rewiring electrical, and adding a gas line. It was on time and on budget. We had a great experience working with Doug. We found him to be highly ethical, organized, and responsive. All of the people (cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, heating and air, tile & granite) he had working on our kitchen were highly skilled, professional and courteous. We love our new kitchen!
