VANDA'S CLEANING SERVICE

The cleaning was fine, but the fact that $1200 cash was missing afterwards was not.

They were great. I would have continued to use them if I was still in that area.

I just used them once. They were fine. They came out to do the job and then they left. The job was fine too. They were a little late. I would use their services in the future too.

They showed up right on time (even a few minutes early). But that's where the positives end. The work they did was poor - streaks on the wood floor, some areas not mopped at all, dust on the window sills, a rug left un-vaccuumed, and an entire bedroom barely cleaned at all. When one of the ladies tried to tell me they were done after about 2 hours, I walked around the condo (only 1,200 square feet), pointing these things out. She reluctantly told the other lady to continue cleaning, while she left for another appointment. The lady who stuck around apologized, but still didn't clean that well. Overall we were left with a mediocre cleaning job that would have been very poor had I not checked their work. Disappointing, considering their "A" rating on Angies List.

They came a little later than scheduled, but that was not a problem. I was told that 3 people would be handling the job and that it would take about 2 hours. As it went, a gentleman dropped a young lady off, who was left to do all the work, alone, and then another young lady picked her up, a little over 5 hours later. The young lady who did all the work did not speak English, so I could not communicate with her regarding the fact that I have certain products for certain cleaning jobs. I had explained this to the gentleman who had brought her, and he had told her some things, in Spanish, but she simply did not understand very much about the cleaning products I had. Her work would have been done much faster had she used them. Otherwise, she was a nice young lady and did her best.

They did a very thorough cleaning. They were timely and responsive. They did good quality work. They were professional and knowledgeable about what they were doing. The pricing was fair.

When the ladies arrived, they were escorted by a very jumpy man, who insisted I pay him (not the ladies) in cash. He spoke to me (they were obviously not allowed to speak) about what I wanted, and then left in a hurry while the women worked. They did a passable, although nowhere near spectacular job. After 3 hours, the jumpy guy came back, ushered them out, and that was that. I felt oddly ripped off and guilty because it just struck me as a very shady way of doing business.

This price is per visit. They are not always punctual, but they have friendly service. I will continue to use them in the future and would recommend them to others.

I felt the lady worked hard. I especially liked that she placed items back. I felt she could have cleaned the shower doors more, but they needed a hard scrub.

I set up an appointment with Vanda's to give me an estimate on cleaning services. After waiting 30 minutes past the scheduled appointment time I called and left a message. I received no return call. I followed up two days later and was told there never had been an appointment scheduled. I then scheduled a new appointment and was assured there would be someone out to give me an estimate. Again, no show and no followup. At this point I gave up.

Vanda was easy to contact and schedule an initial estimate visit. She quoted $160 for first cleaning and $80 for other visits. One woman comes each time and does an excellent job, including washing windows at my request. Cleaned the refrigerator without being asked. Changed floor cleaner solution at my request (I prefer Pine Sol).

Vanda was wonderful--charismatic, easy to talk to, and most importantly professional. She was very flexible as our move-in date kept shifting (due to delays by our renovation contractors, who kept screwing up). When the time came, she provided a 2-person crew who spent the day and cleaned top-to-bottom--well enough to impress my nit-picky-neat mother-in-law! The crew was friendly and professional, too. We have hired Vanda's service for weekly housecleaning and have been happy so far.

I found Vanda quite easy to work with. Her cleaning staff was polite and efficient and the whole thing took about two hours.

At first I liked this company and really liked the owner. She is very personable. But I guess in the end, you get what you pay for. This price was cheap and the work performed was inconsistent. They would overload the dishwasher and load it improperly resulting in several dirty, dried dishes that I had to clean again. Small tasks I would ask them to do would be done once, but then never later. I think the problem is she uses different people with most visits. The last visit I was home and they were in and out in a little over an hour. I thought that was too fast for a 1200 square foot condo. Again, you get what you pay for.

Telephone and e-mail response was excellent with same day return call when service was requested. Scheduled visit. Arrived on time and did good job cleaning. Since we have limited furniture at the present time, cleaning of major surfaces, kitchen and bath were required. All was done well. We are now using Vanda's regularly as needed.

Vanda came to give me an estimate. Once I agreed on the price, she sent someone out. She has come to my house once. She did a great job and she brings her own equipment and supplies. The price was not bad. I am going to have her come every 2 weeks. She charged $85 for the first cleaning and it will be $65 per visit thereafter.

I thought that I received a pretty good price for the cleaning. I did have them out several times. However, I am not over happy with them. It was a good price, but, the cleaning was not very detailed. The quote was right on and I thought it was good. I guess I just expected it to be a little more detailed. I am looking for another cleaner. They never broke anything or stolen anything. I do however like them and think the price is good for what they did.

I called Vanda on a Monday & she promptly called back to set up an estimate appointment. She came on time, took a quick look at the place & we discussed what we wanted to have done. We scheduled the cleaning crew to come a few days later. Vanda isn't doing the cleaning herself at the moment. The crew came as scheduled & did a very nice job. We're definitely going to continue with the service.

Vanda is great! Very professional. Her crew came and did the cleaning, they were fast and efficient. Only missed a few spots (and I'm very picky)!

I chose Vanda's based on their excellent marks within Angie's List. When I called, I spoke with Linda whom offered to do an estimate visit. I skipped that option and negotiated a first time rate of $75 and we scheduled for the early afternoon the following week. On the day of the appointment, I received a call 10 minutes after their expected arrival telling me that they would be 1/2 hour late. I assured them that was fine and they showed up 1 hour later. Linda arrived with two other people whom immediately started to work and it was readily apparent that they had an effective system in place. I left for a caf and returned 1.5 hours later to see them waiting outside. I went inside with Linda to review their work and saw that it was done well so I paid them with a good tip. After that, I noticed a few small details that had been missed such as the bathroom grout not being scrubbed and a few fingerprints on refrigerator but overall, they did a good job at a decent price.

Vanda was professional and made scheduling easy. I liked that a team was available to do the work. However, I wasn't able to be home while they cleaned, and was not too impressed with the work done. Perhaps I should have been more specific about my expectations.
