Jacob, the owner and sole employee of Sovereignty Plumbing is possibly the most dishonest and unprofessional businessperson that I've encountered in the Bay Area. I purchased one of the deals that he was offering on the Angie's List website. The deal was for one hour of plumbing services for $117. After the purchase I sent an email to follow up and to schedule the work. After the email, I called and left a voicemail. I didn't receive a call back. The next day, I called again and left another voicemail and followed that up with another email. After finally getting Jacob on the phone I described the job and I told him that I needed to have a plumbing permit pulled for the work. He gave me a quote of $275 for the time and materials and $250 for the permit. After I told him that I had purchased the $117 deal that he offered, he came up with a whole bunch of bogus excuses for why he didn't want to do the work. I told him that he shouldn't offer the deal if he wasn't going to honor it. He basically said that he didn't have to honor the deal and that it didn't matter because he could just go make the money off of someone else. Luckily, I found an honest plumber who did the work in an efficient and professional manner and who only charged me for the time that he actually worked plus the materials ($30) and for the actual cost of the permit which was only $169. The following week I had my inspection by the plumbing inspector from SFDBI and the work passed without any problems. Jacob of Sovereignty Plumbing was simply angry because he wasn't able to rip me off by getting paid $245 an hour and by over charging me for the cost of the plumbing permit. On top of all of that, now I have to get a refund for the $117 plumbing deal that I bought! What a shady character!

"1st of all I never did the work. I went to Mr. [Member Name Removed] residence to scope out work. Being in business since 2008 and dealing with many water heater installations especially in San Francisco I've seen it all and Mr. [Member Name Removed] was one of the many. Example: 1-water heater needed pressure relief valve and pan to be terminated to the exterior 2-vent wasn't connected carbon monoxide vented inside kitchen [Member Information Removed]-gas line wrapped in front of water heater from the right side opposite of control inlet [Member Information Removed]-water heater rested on gas line and needed wood blocking and earthquake strapping 5-needed to be permitted/inspected He asked if I can buy him a permit anyway and he would take care of repairs...Uuuh no thank you.. So as you can see repairs exceeded 1 hour of a plumping. Thank you for reading Sovereignty Plumbing Jacob Serrano"

"Hello I happened to see this review after many months. I wish I stumbled accross it much sooner. Mr [Member Name Removed] actually reviewed 2 times with a large gap of time between. I Responded on the next one explaining in detail the nature of work needed to be done to meet City of San Francisco the PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS and a 1 hr purchase for $117 of service plumbing would not be substantial enough to "safely" correct his water heater installation issues. Please read my response on the other review Mr. [Member Name Removed] created Thank you Sovereignty Plumbing Jacob Serrano"

He was very quick and efficient. It only took him 30 minutes. Other plumber quoted my $1,000 and this was only $117. He was professional and didn't mess around.

I contacted Sovereignty Plumbing via e-mail and all communication regarding product, price and scheduling was done this way, which is the way I preferred to do it. They were very responsive. Jacob was running a little late but he called to let me know when to expect him. He did a great job and left both my bathrooms clean. Jacob was friendly and professional, and I would definitely call him again for any future plumbing needs.

It went well. He is a good plumber. The issue I have is that in order to replace the garbage disposal and to snake out the drain he had to remove the trap, a ten dollar part. he asked if I wanted him to replace the trap with a new one. The trap holds water and eventually rots out, so I said yes. In order to complete the job he had to re-instal the trap. He charged me $125. for installing the garbage disposal and $125. for replacing a $10. part that he would have to replace any way. So $125. for garbage disposal + $125. for new trap +$125. for snaking out the drain + $125. for new trap.

I thought they were a bit expensive but were friendly. After they fixed it the first time it was still leaking and they came back out twice to fix it.

We had a bad experience with them. We ended up being charged several hundred Dollars and they didn't fix it.  This was the first time that I was using them. I wouldn't recommend them. I would not use them in the future.

He worked on it for 5 hours when we called him initially. Then, he didn't come back for 2-3 weeks. Then he came back yesterday and worked on it. He was asking for more money, but we were a little wary of him. I guess he was working us in between other jobs. He really didn't smooth the ceiling out as much as my wife wanted it. He told my wife that he'd bring a part that would prevent the toilet from leaking into the downstairs bathroom. We were happy, but when he brought the part, he said it'd be $130 to install. Once we complained about the ceiling, he waived the charges. He is young and energetic, but it took a long time (3 visits) to be finished.

Started as leaking kitchen sink, turned out that disposal had worn out. I checked out disposals locally on-line asked if he (Jacob) could install the one I selected and he did. If I have any plumbing issues I will call this company. Jacob is a very nice guy. He explains everything.

It was fine. It took a little longer than I would have liked to get done because we couldn’t use our shower. They did great work though. Once they came out they finished the work in a few hours. I felt the price was fair.
