Working with Pia and Eugene was really good, but I wound up doing a lot of the design and layout work to get exactly what I wanted. Their stone work was very good, the carpentry good, though the custom cabinet finishes available in California are not as tough as other states offer. They fell behind due to city inspections and some worker disputes but they always corrected things and made good on their promises (non-time wise). Though workers didn't show up every day by the end of the job, the managers always returned my calls and told me (for the most part) what was going on. The electrical work, plumbing, framing and tilework were all good but I got to know who was best for each job and asked for those craftsmen by name. They had cash flow problems by the end of the job, but delivered on their promises and ultimately we were happy with their work, with the exception of levelling the kitchen floor and installing 3/4 wood flooring on it. I would use a wood floor specialist next time, but the stone and tile work was really good and the bathrooms turned out great and I would use them again or at least get a bid from them. If they stragitened out their finances they would be a really good company.

I really liked them. I love the countertops since they are beautiful. They gave me a beautiful piece of granite and manufactured it. They were able to use all the parts so that there was very little to waste. It turned out beautifully at the end. They were very good. They also recommended another company for the kitchen remodeling job. I would use their services in the future too.

The promised time frame was 3 weeks, it took 6 months. I could not live at house during the work. They missed appointments, showed up late, did not respond to my emails. They installed the wrong kitchen sink and cabinets handles, they had to replace all the cabinet doors. Things had to be done 3 to 4 times to get them right. They did not have the right layout for their staff to follow. They did not have any supervision of staff onsite. I had to always contact them to find out status. They did not follow through or conduct a final walk thru of my house. There staff got paint on my couch and chair twice - they did not cover them while painting and removing the popcorn from the ceiling. They did pay for the couch and chair to be cleaned. They also worked with me at the end regarding the final payment. But I do not feel they valued me as a customer. I would suggest they work on their professionalism and communication.

It went very well, they did a great job. They were reasonably priced compared to other companies. Most of all, they had very good service.

The job was scheduled for 9 weeks. It took over 6 months. We had set up a temporary kitchen in the guest bedroom and bathroom. Ended up doing dishes in the bathtub for 5 months. They didn't show up on days they said they would, never called to say they weren't coming or that they were. We never knew if we could turn on our alarm system or not. They damaged the inside of several cabinets when they installed light fixtures above and under the cabinets. The plumbing leaked under the kitchen sink while we were on vacation, damaging the cabinet and flooring. They left piles of trash in the garage for months, including food scraps that rotted, stunk, grew a crop of maggots and flies. The owners never responded (or acknowledged) complaints. The design consultant and project manager quit before the job was completed because they reportedly weren't being paid. The PM felt so bad about our job that he finished it anyway, hoping that Imperial would pay him something for his time.
