This was my second time calling Julie of All Lady Locksmiths, after using her services several years ago. I should have posted a review then because I was very happy with her work (happy enough that she will be the only locksmith I use in the future, barring any unforeseen circumstances). In any event, I am reviewing her now, because she's always very professional, kind, and knowledgeable, especially about locks in older homes.
My house was built in 1927, and all the doors and their hardware are original, except for the locks in the front and kitchen doors. So when I needed a locksmith to work on some of the antique locks three years ago, I was searching for someone who specialized in old hardware, and I found A.L.L. here on Angie's List. Julie worked on three separate doors back then and did a great job.
This year, one of those doorknobs was again experiencing some issues (itwas spinning but not causing the latch to open), as old equipment will tend to do, so I called her back. Not only did she fix it for me, she showed me how I can perform a minor adjustment myself in the future so that I don't have to pay her for a service call every time this happens. While she was here, we discussed an interior locking door for which she was not able to find parts several years ago (another drawback of old hardware), but she said she has a new source; so she repaired that one for me too, and didn't charge me for the return service call to bring it back and reinstall it after it was rebuilt.
I found All Lady Locksmiths' prices to be very reasonable for the work performed. And even though Julie sometimes arrived later than the agreed-upon time due to an earlier job than ran long, she always stayed in touch via a text or call, to check if it caused me any inconvenience.

I would highly recommend using this company to anyone.

They were very good. They were fast and very honest. They told us options in how to solve the problem and explained what they were doing. Their price was very reasonable for they were doing.

They are absolutely amazing. She figured out a way to open up a safe for my mother as well. They know their stuff. Nobody can get into my house. They keep their appointments and show up on time!

I really don't want to get into it because she has keys to the property. Suffice to say that she was unprofessionally rude.

We chose the vendor from Angie's, and was very happy. Arrived on time, assessed needs, estimated prices, completed in an appropriate time frame. Provided extra keys and serial numbers so we could order more by phone if needed. Easy to work with, very professional.

I really appreciated getting back into my house since the locks had been installed upside down by my painter. Anyway, the woman was able to get in fairly quickly with no damage to the lock. She also altered the lock so the problem could not occur again. My disappointment was that I waited for my 5 o'clock appointment and she did not show up....had to call and she finally came about an hour late.

They're great and I would use them again. They're very knowledgeable, fast, and on time. They were a little out of my mileage zone but they didn't charge me extra for that and they also gave me an extra set of keys for no charge.

I called on 10/16 to get an estimate of cost/appointment date from All Lady Locksmiths. I left a message, and within two hours I received a call back from Julie. She gave me the estimated cost and we scheduled the appointment for Monday, 10/18 at 4:30pm. On Monday, she did not arrive at 4:30, so I called and she stated that she had neglected to note the appointment in her book, but that she was in the area and would be there shortly. She arrived at my house about 5:15, and completed the job within 1/2 hour. She was extremely professional and apologized for the mix-up. The lock was fixed and the final cost was the same as the estimate. I would definitely use this company's services again and recommend them to others looking for a knowledgable, professional locksmith.

I called and got Julie on the phone and we made an appointment. She showed up on time and fixed the lock set and re-keyed it to match an existing door. She is very professional and does good work.

Excellent! I called and spoke to Julie and she was extremely knowledgeable about old locks and after speaking to her I felt very confident that she could help us get the right key. She was right on time and she was able to quickly figure out which key would work for our door and she had one with her! The key was $15.00 and the Service call was $65.00. We were happy with the service we received and would call them again if we needed locksmith services.

Julie loves locks and once she's done you have great confidence that things are locked up tight!

I originally contacted Julie and Laura after we had a bad experience with a different locksmith (who we didn't find on Angie's list) who drilled out an antique doorknob lock and replaced it with a cheap modern lock that my wife and I hated. I called All Lady Locksmiths, and talked to Laura who set me up with an appointment right away with Julie. When Julie came by I told her we wanted to replace the cheap doorknob and since we didn't trust the previous locksmith, we wanted to re-key the house. Julie walked me through everything she planned to do. Later, I got an excited call from Julie, and she had found an antique doorknob lock that matched the doorknob lock that the previous locksmith had destroyed. She came by and installed it, and re-keyed the whole house. Everything works great, and the replacement doorknob is perfect and beautiful. I highly recommend using All Lady Locksmith. Julie and Laura's enthusiasm and passion for their work is amazing. They are true professionals.

Our son and his wife live in a rental house in Altadena, California. They share the house with another couple who are students in college. They had a party and a set of keys went missing. Our son thought it best to change the locks just incase. They had recently married and had alot of wedding gifts in the house. We checked the list and found All Lady Locksmiths in their area. My husband called them and arranged with Julie to meet him at the house. She arrived ahead of schedule and took a look at all the doors and started to work. She rekeyed all the doors in a little over an hour. She was very professional and knew alot about locks. We will definitely call her again.

The gate issue was tricky and not easily solved but she was knowledgeable about the possible options and very clear in explaining them to me. She also looked at two loose doorknobs and made adjustments on one that needed it without charging me. She suggested an inexpensive fix I could do myself for one of the knobs. It was a pleasure dealing with her because she obviously enjoys her work, was very personable and professional and she told me some interesting things about old locks too. I was delighted to find a local person who I will certainly call with any future lock problems I may have.

Julie is incredibly knowledgeable. She repairs antique locks as a hobby, so she gets how things work. It's obvious that she didn't learn what she knows from a book. She rolls up with all the equipment she needs and her mobile workspace is very neat and tidy. I was impressed with how she worked. The front door is practically falling apart, but she made the lock work, showed me the issues, and how it would still be secure. I did appreciate the education on locks, I must say. She was punctual (I was actually the late one!) and personable, as other reviews say. It took a little longer than expected, but we were a little chatty, too. The only reason I gave a B for responsiveness is because I made the appointment and was expecting a call back to confirm the appointment time. I called back and confirmed and then was to receive a call when she was on her way. But, hey, that's my only criticism. I will definitely use them again when I need locksmith services.

Very personable and professional. Julie clearly enjoys working with old locks, unlike other locksmiths we've talked to who recommend just replacing them. She worked quickly, explained what the problems were and how she was fixing them, and was friendly and non-condescending. In the midst of explaining the inner workings of my doorknob that had fallen off, she started demonstrating on another, similar knob and noticed that it was loose, so she fixed that one too, but didn't charge for it.

Found the company on Angie's list. Sent email to them for quote on Thursday evening. Laura called on Friday morning and provided quote over the phone and indicated that Julie could come out Saturday morning for us.

Julie Yanez who does the installations responding within hours to my email inquiry and scheduled an appointment for the next day, Saturday, to do an on site estimate. She looked at each of the four locks, asked how many keys we needed and submitted an estimate via email that evening. Since she had to order the locks, we scheduled for the work to be done the following Wednesday afternoon. She called Wednesday afternoon to ask to reschedule to Thursday morning because another job was taking longer than expected and she did want to leave her customer with a non functioning lock. Julie arrived on time Thursday morning wearing her All Lady Locksmiths logo polo shirt and cap and got right to work. She also oiled all of the locks and latches. She didn't have enough keys, but she returned later that afternoon with the remainder and even an extra one in case one didn't work. They all worked fine.
