I have hired Nixon's twice to save the day. The first time was during one of our epic winter months when everyone was calling them - very busy. Talking with Wendy is a relief. She is kind, understanding and accommodating. In fact, she managed so squeeze me in twice with same day service! Try getting that from the competitors such as Summit - good luck! Nixon's seems like they are family operated and like they actually care. They see you more than just the next invoice. They see you as a relationship. It gets better! The technician they sent out twice was equally as friendly, knowledgeable and hard working as Wendy. Nixon's. Look no further. They defy the general mediocre work that you usually get here in Tahoe. We are very happy with them. They've always been complete in their service, they show up on time, do a great job, they are willing to do a little extra and we have been using them for 12 years.

We had a number of issues trying to get the seller to turn the water on during the escrow of a house we were purchasing in SLT. By the time they finally got the water turned on, we had about 24-36 hours to complete inspections. We called Nixon late on a Monday night and he went out inspected the property and finalized the inspection and repair estimate by close of business on Tuesday. Could not have asked for more. He also identified a significant safety issue with one of the gas lines, which we were able to get the seller to remedy before close. His estimate was reasonable and in line with what I expected for the scope of work.
When I called with questions about the scope of repairs, Doug was immediately responsive and very willing to spend the time discussion the repair issues with me. This was a nice contrast from the electrician we used who was reluctant to even bother with the inspection and estimate because he felt that it never turned in to real work (which, based on his attitude will prove true). We plan to use Nixon for the repair work after we close.

Doug Nixon's crew was prompt and professional in all aspects in accordance with there scope of work. They finished on time per the schedule and met all of my expectations. I will use them again on my next project in the South Lake Tahoe Area. In addition his office staff and support team did an incredible job in the coordination of the project. My experience with Nixon's Heating Air Conditioning And Plumbing Inc. went pretty smooth. They found some broken pipes and they did what they had to do. Nothing more, nothing less. They're pretty decent. There were no problems. They were good talking about things and to cooperate.

They arrived on schedule and worked all day installing the new Aprilaire humidifier and recirculating pump. They were very professional and courteous. They took time to answer some questions I had and explain how the install was going. I also brought up a separate plumbing issue with a sink in the bathroom that they fixed even though they were only scheduled to install the humidifier and the pump. I was very impressed with the workers and would use them again.
