AAA FUME INC

These guys were just great. I'm rarely satisfied with contractors, but AAA has earned my respect. Our roof has fragile and expensive composite shakes. We were very worried about damage from workers walking on it and the tent. The crew consisted of Jose and Francisco on the roof and Benjamin on the ground. We watched the entire process. The guys walked like cats on the roof and they padded the corners so the tent wouldn't snag. I had obtained the Dow guidelines for Vikane usage, and being an engineer, I was able to independently calculate the Vikane mass required to achieve the correct concentration in the structure. I asked Benjamin how much gas he was measuring, and our numbers agreed. The exposure and venting durations used by AAA also matched Dow guidelines. They used the correct sensor to measure gas concentration before re-entering the structures. Benjamin was willing to share the readings with us. We had hundreds of previously damaged shakes, and despite their careful efforts, some more were damaged during the fumigation. Fortunately, AAA also does roof repair work. Jose and David did the repair work for a reasonable cost. Kudos also to Gema in the home office; all the work was performed within the promised time windows.

Overall tenting is a pain in the rear. The homeowner is required to clear out all plants from the house and clean out the house of all food and medicine. (I didn't trust the double bagging.) AAA Fume showed up when they said they would and finished on time. There was minor damage done to the house, but I can't imagine anyone lifting hundreds of pounds (if not tons) of plastic tenting material and chipping a few wood beams or chipping some old paint. The legal release I needed to sign appeared to be okay. I was allowed to add a sentence that AAA Fume would be responsible for their own negligence, which there was none. My only recommendation is let the house air out one additional day if you can afford it. My eyes burned a little bit the first night moving back in.

IT WAS FINE ACTUALLY. THEY WERE PRETTY GOOD. THEY DID WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO. THE PEOPLE WERE ACTUALLY PRETTY FRIENDLY. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME. THEY HAD WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO THE JOB. IT WAS DONE ON TIME EXACTLY WHEN IT WAS PROMISED.
