I was not told that it would be fiberglass insulation. My lungs are not good and as soon as I saw the insulation arrive I asked for an alternative. I was told that that was all they carried, so when I refused the insulation Rick, the owner, complained that he had no storage space for it. And this is a company that routinely provides the same insulation to everyone? I found out later that pest control companies often will hire attic cleaning and insulation companies to do their work and then mark up the price a lot.
I repeatedly asked the workers to fix the duct, which should have happened first to prevent the attic dust from getting into the house while the attic was being cleaned. Eventually Rick told me to hire someone else to do it.
The workers were unaware they were supposed to seal the entrances. This was eventually done.
The workers could not clean 400 square feet because they felt there was not enough room. Rick did come himself to investigate and then agreed with them.
At the end, I was not given a bill. A secretary called and asked for my credit card # without even telling me the charges without my asking.
For $3900, supposedly, I should have had 1900 square feet cleaned and with new insulation, as well as the entrances closed and the duct fixed (which I paid someone else $100 for). Instead I paid $2900 for only the cleaning of 1500 square feet and a couple entrances closed with steel netting. The entrance to the basement was closed to pacify me after I complained, though that was originally promised me.
Afterwards I had an attic cleaning company complete the other 400 square feet (it wasn't difficult for them!) and add cellulose insulation for a total of $700.
I called GW back, told them if their service person was prompt and knew what he was doing they could continue the service. He arrived promptly (actually minutes early). I accompanied him around the yeard, and observed him doing his work. The rating is higher than I would give normally due to lateness and not calling. Based on years of good service and timeleness I would rate them higher the next review.
