Quality of work was good, the window looked great after they applied the film and it helped keep the bright sun out of our living room. Film was installed 10/2015 BUT............... We had an issue because we had a double pane window and we were not informed of the possible risk that the glass could crack................our inner pane cracked (summer 2016). After researching the issue, I found that the film should not be put on certain types of double pane windows. Some types of film absorb all the sun's rays instead of reflecting it away. When the glass heats up it expands which can break the factory seal or break the glass. We were told by Transparent Glass that they strictly adhere to the information provided them by 3M. When our glass broke it shattered and stayed in place as you see on the Transparent Glass commercial. It did not pose a threat to anyone around it. The window was eventually replaced and Transparent Glass absorbed the cost. A few things to know: 1 - Is the estimator experienced enough to know if your window is at risk of cracking 2 - Request the inexpensive insurance that would cover the cost of replacing the window (we would have if we had been told about it at the time of sale). 3 - At the time of sale, get everything documented in regard to cost, work, repair etc. Cost of film/installation was $350.00, cost of replacing the window was $982.00
