Mike is great to work with. We tolled him that we are working on a tight budget and he really was mindful and considered about that. My husband and I are both hands-on kind of people, to keep the cost down Mike worked with us so we could do part of the work ourselves. Mike is a great planner and thinker and always is prepared for the next step. He takes his time and does not cut corners. He consults with his clients and explains everything very clearly. He keeps his working area tight and clean. He is the kind of guy you can trust to have in your home even if you are not there. He works a bit slow, but it is worth the wait, his work turns out beautiful. We are very pleased with Mike's service.  --

During a visit, my sister suggested that my house needed painting, but also mentioned that I should have a few things fixed before I did that.  I hired Mike Allen to fix those things.  He finished the work in three days.  I liked his work so much that I asked his advice regarding another, larger, problem with the house, and the following month he started that project (which I will mention in a separate review). 

Mike did a garage conversion to create a one bedroom apartment in the downstairs unit. The garage was converted to a  living room, and the walls had to be cut through to join the new living areas. The new apartment also has its own bathroom and laundry area. The entire area that was remodeled is approximately 750 sq feet. He also installed hardwood flooring and LED can lights, among several other things. Mike definitely has a lot of attention to detail. His price is very competitive and I have been very impressed with everything he has done. He does just fantastic work! All the detail work-window sills, blinds, granite counters, hardwood floors-everything is fantastic! I am very happy with all the work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. I would give give him 5 stars!
