I've used them before in my previous residence and was pleased with the solatubes but not this time. I requested secondary diffusers for a soft diffuse light but that is not what they installed. Rod didn't tell me until afterwards that these are a different type than I had in my previous residence and that they don't have the secondary diffusers anymore. The light that these new ones put out is a harsher light that makes a bright cross on the floor. He told me he would try to find some old secondary diffusers but didn't get back to me. When I pressed him on it he offered me rose-colored diffusers which I declined.
While I gave him low marks for quality, it is because of the harsh light of the solatubes, but the quality of the installation is good.
