Piano Tuning
He is the best! Mark has been our piano tuner for many years. He has the reputation of the best Steinway & Sons tuner in San Diego and beyond. He is very patient and won't rush to do his job. He doesn't schedule lots of jobs for a day so he has enough time to make your piano the best. He is the expert and he is honest. He is the only one we can trust with our piano.

Piano Tuning
Mark Adams spent 2 1/2 hours tuning and voicing my piano and perfuming other adjustments. Due to some time conflicts and appointment changes, it had been over 6 months since the last tuning. Because of the time lapse, the piano needed a greater level of tuning than usual. Mark tuned it once, attended to other issues, then tuned the piano a second time. As usual, he offered to return and make any adjustments needed, should the piano develop any problems after the tuning.
The instrument sounds beautiful and the touch is consistent and smooth. I have a happy piano!
Mark Adams is a master technician. He is an artist with pianos. I highly recommend him.

Piano Tuning
I contacted Mark Adams because a friend recommended him. Spoke with him directly, and he agreed to tune a piano at a friend's house in San Diego. That was in June. After several other attempts to contact him in July and August with no reply tells me MArk is not interested.
In the meantime, two young students have been playing on an untuned piano.
Mark might be a great tuner, as my friend says below, but his failure to return calls is inexcusable. There are too many other great tuners in San Diego to put up with this. Mark gets an and quot;Fand quot;. There is a remote possibility there's a reason for not getting back to me, but based on my friend's corroboration, I doubt it.
Here's a conversation with my friend who recommended him.
Me: Say, your tuner guy, Mark Adams, ([email protected], 858-583-3333) I spoke to him, he agreed to tune my piano at a friends in San Diego, but never did. He's not responding to his emails. That's too bad because he said he'd do it on June 24th and its now September. So I think I'll have to abandon him. Just letting you know!
Referrer's response: That is his big fault. He won't even work on an instrument that he don't like. I refer him to people and he doesn't call them back. Sorry... He really is the best if you can connect with him

Piano Tuning
Mark Adams has been taking care of my Steinway Model A grand piano since I purchased it, about 6 years ago. He tunes the piano about twice a year and performs any voicing or regulating the piano needs, as well. Often, he makes subtle adjustments on a visit, then schedules a follow up visit to make additional adjustments. He charges the same fee, ($135) whether he makes multiple trips or one single trip for tuning and adjustments within a 6 month period. He is extremely competent and is well-regarded by other piano technicians throughout the United States. In fact, he was first recommended to me by a knowledgeable piano expert in New York City. I would definitely recommend him to others, and I plan to continue to have Mark maintain my piano in the future.
