One of the reasons I chose them was because they had the best price as well as a good rating on Angie's List. They were very efficient, pruned everything by hand (it was very quiet) and they didn't over trim it.

I was very pleased with them. I recommended them to my neighbors, and they were pleased with them as well. They do a great job! They know what they are doing. They won't trim a tree when it isn't supposed to be trimmed. We have some trees that have to be trimmed at different times. They do a great job. They are quite resonably priced. They are very knowledgeable, and they work with you.

The person that we deal with is Gabriel. He knows what you have to do and tells you when to do it. He is extremely efficient and reasonably priced. The real estate agent who was involved with us in buying the house recommended him to us. When he comes, he brings tons of people who go up on ropes and cut things out. They preserve trees and they don?t massively prune or destroy. We had a problem with a weed tree, and after a number of years it was actually obstructing the sun from reaching the raised beds that we had planted in our garden. He took it out for us - he cut it down and took out the roots as well. He also took out a sick apple tree for us.

Gabriel called me back almost immediately after I left an initial message for him, arranged to meet me in West LA (although they're based in San Gabriel) within a few days, & diagnosed health problems with 2 trees in addition to advising on which to trim & how. His price was also considerably less than another highly regarded tree-trimmer I contacted. (I didn't want to use one of those guys who leave cards in your mailbox because a lot of them don't know anything about trees, & I've seen what hack jobs they can do -- & how it can hurt the trees once they're gone.) On trimming day, I made a point of standing by to make sure they didn't cut too much or too little, & Gabriel went so far as to suggest which limbs to cut before letting his guys touch them. He also changed his directives a couple of times when I proposed that they do something slightly differently. His advice on not cutting the large Aleppo pine squared completely with both another tree trimmer's & with 2 arborists I consulted, & he was dead on about the disease issues for the other trees.
