For the last several days, I've been mulling over how I can best express everything that Teine and her team has done for me. It's a nearly impossible task, since the impact of their work has touched nearly every aspect of my life. But I'm going to try. 

Last month, my husband, five-month-old baby, and I moved across the country to Ventura for my husband's new job. It all happened so quickly, and we had no time to be strategic about the move. We landed in our much smaller apartment, our furniture and belongings strewn about haphazardly. With my husband going back to work, and me with the baby, it was too hard to get organized on our own. And I was immobilized by the task. 

It was impacting my emotional state, my cognitive abilities, my relationship with my husband, my productivity, everything. 
So I did some research and found organizethis. From the moment I started corresponding with Teine, I felt relief. She came over for the initial consult, and I felt certain I had found my salvation. She spent a solid hour telling me all the she could do to transform every room in my home. When I told her my budgetary hopes, she didn't balk; instead, she gave me some homework to do before the big day, so that I could maximize their efficiency. 

That following week, two large trucks showed up with Teine and her team of hilarious and effective women. The two trucks were filled to the brim with supplies, including repurposed items and furniture from previous projects.

The team immediately got to work, and they very quickly transformed my chaotic apartment into a comfortable and elegant home. And the whole time, they seemed to be having fun! It was the most productive house party I've ever had. (I didn't want them to leave!)

The delicious icing on the cake? They donated a new-to-me dining room table, framed art for my barren walls, and various other delights that are now scattered around my home. 

And now, weeks later, my home and psyche are transformed. I'm getting along better with my husband, and my brain is freed up to do more exciting things than stress out about my apartment. 

I can't imagine that any other organizing company has the heart and soul that this one does. Hire them. They are worth EVERY penny.

Dana,one of the partners of Organizethis, came out to my house and looked at the
area I wanted to have organized. She thoroughly explained the process and gave
me an estimate of how long she felt it would take to determine what was in the
area, declutter and organize it, and come up with a system to keep it that way.
I told her my budget, time wise and dollar wise, and she worked within it. She accurately
determined what a crew of 2 organizers could do in two days working from 9:00
am to 2:30 pm. Even at this initial consultation, Dana showed me how to utilize
the Notes feature of my iPhone to keep electronic lists of items, so I was able
to throw away many scraps of paper currently pinned to my bulletin board and
make this a new habit to ensure less paper clutter! There is a charge for the
initial consultation, and there was no pressure from Dana to hire them on.
  If you do hire them on, as I did, this consultation fee is put towards the final
 cost. The crew works under a strict code of ethics and confidentiality.
 My area is a loft at the top of our stairs, where I have a desk, and a built in
bookcase and cabinets. The area had become inundated with financial papers, greeting
cards, scraps of papers with lists, addresses & phone numbers, church and
volunteer documentation, and a ton of scrapbook papers, tools, embellishments,
and half-done projects. I was overwhelmed and did not know where to start or
what could be done about this mess. I could no longer see the top of my desk or
my floor and was not able to work in that space anymore.  Just looking at it caused me grief. I needed
professional help and was motivated to work with the crew and reclaim my space.
 
The two professional organizers, Dori and Sharmaine, were exemplary.  Banking and financial papers were put into
one bin for me to go through, and determine if they needed to be kept or
shredded. They categorized other documentation and paperwork into sort groups
such as charities and church for easier analysis. Scrapbooking was another sort
category. I did not think they would know what to do with all the scrapbooking
stuff, but they organized everything so thoroughly, dividing it up into
subcategories such as adhesives, tools, embellishments, and papers.  
 I now have a desk with no clutter and room to work.  I know where all my scrapbooking supplies are,
what I have, and they are within easy reach. The floor is clear of debris and
paper. I am so happy with Organizethis for their professional help. Dori and Sharmaine
quickly picked up on what was important to me and how I wanted to use this area
again. I cannot thank Dana, Dori and Charmaine enough for what they have done
for me.  I believe I now have the skills needed to keep my area clean and organized,
and can transfer these techniques
to other areas of the house when needed.

We recently married and bought a new home for US.  After moving we were overwhelmed with the
realization of the enormous amount of everything we had as well as the enormous
amount of time it would take for us to sort and organize.
I used OrganizeThis previously and was extremely pleased.  They performed with the
consistency as before and managed to get our immense chaos to feel and operate
like a real home.
We both had large homes. The task of sorting and deciding what to keep, archive, sell or donate alone was huge.  The team did this in record time very efficiently and then integrated and organized everything that remained. 
This job included 3+ car garage, two kitchens, eight closets, two home offices, five bathrooms and five bedrooms!
I would say value cannot be measured when it comes to your home feeling and looking like Home Sweet Home. Afterall, life is for living and living starts at Home!

I can't begin to start with out smiling & wanting to blurt out how fantastic and helpful and wonderful the whole experience was! From the initial meeting and quote with Teine, to the very last day and final payment, I was treated like a tender bird. Those ladies cocooned me in their love and talent and worked harder than any other contractor or business I've ever had at my home. I was downsizing from a 4,000 square foot house to this 1,800 square foot home. They installed shelving and storage in my garage and a shed in my side yard. They bought all new office furniture and gave me the office of my dreams. The price I paid can be considered high but I actually got more than I paid for. They organized EVERY room in my home and my garage. I had 4 or 5 professional organizers at my home for 10 days. (It's their policy to only work 5 hours a day, 9am-2pm. I could recuperate after they left and had time to cook dinner, shop or just rest up for tomorrow) I never in a million years thought they'd get a project as huge as my house and as big as the project was, but they did it on time, within budget, and actually left early on the last day! There was no wasted time because of their organized procedures and team work, although if I started to break down or have a difficult time over a decision, they would all take the time to listen and comfort me. It was obvious that these ladies are well trained in the psychological needs of a person struggling with an abundance of personal items that all seemed to be too much of a treasure to release when I'd attempted it myself. When my house was finished and the organizethis trucks were pulling out of my driveway, I felt mixed emotions. I'd finally had made all the thousands of decisions I could never have made alone, yet I didn't want to let the team leave... I wished there was more to do. We had SO much fun doing this project (that I'd literally dreaded for years), and here I was feeling grief over loosing the daily laughter, camaraderie & authentic participation I had in regaining control my life. There is an interesting thing I want to add: you may fall in love with the founder of the company, Teine (pronounced Dana), when she comes to look at your house and help assess your needs. She is warm, non-judgmental, so incredibly informed about her profession and she authentically loves to help people. But! Unless you pay her higher rate, she is not going to work on every day of every job. She is around and supervising quite often, but I did have angst when I found out that she was not a member of my daily "organizing team". This angst lasted about one second after being introduced to my team of professional organizers as Teine came on the first day to walk through the job, post goals and other notes, and start the job off. There is literally no worry you should have about who the professional organizers are who work for organizethis. They are amazing and absolutely "matched" the experience I had as I signed the contract with Teine, and there was no gap or let down that I'd been worried about if she wasn't there every single day of the job. They obviously hire the best, experienced, professional organizers and the friendship and fun all the ladies (and muscle crew men) have while they work is a testimony to how much they love the work they do. I especially fell in love with Shannon, one of the Senior (Lead) professional organizers and I hire Shannon to come back as needed to do maintenance, giggle with me, and get me back on track. When we started, Shannon was immediately in tune with me and took charge of the job and me. : ) She intuitively knew how to deal with my life experiences. How she did it, I don't know? She somehow knew how to take a painful situation and she shepherded me through a task that no one should ever have to do. She actually created joy while helping me sort, discard and organize the personal possessions of my husband and my only two children who have all died in the past in past nine years.

We've used this company for our own home, and I gifted their services for my parents who didn't/couldn't even begin to tackle the problem!  It was initially overwhelming, but Teine and her team were calming, nurturing, warm, and non-judgemental.  They came promptly and used the time efficiently.  All costs were explained up front, and there were no surprises.  Trash was removed with bins preordered, donations were handled, and large item pick-up pre-arranged.  It is an exhausting process, but incredibly worth it!  You feel such a weight lifted, your mind cleared, and you can actually enjoy your home/environment again!  We've used this company for our own home, and I gifted their services for my parents who didn't/couldn't even begin to tackle the problem!

From the day they arrived, the crew of organizethis went to work clearing out the clutter from my garage, sewing room and eventually my closet.  They wasted no time and helped me sort through the accumulation of ?things? I had collected after so many years living in one place. The thought of opening all those dusty boxes was daunting and something I just never found the time for, even though it had been on my To Do list for years.
My hobby of quilting and sewing is, for lack of a better word, ?messy?. It begs for more fabric, another ruler, a new pattern?my passion also became my frustration when it overtook the room I had allotted.   After closet organizer cabinets were installed, the team carefully refilled the shelves and drawers with my most often-used items. Everything, from buttons & binding, scissors & rulers, to threads & needles are binned and labeled and it is a joy now to be able to find something right away, rather than the previous frustration of searching through chaos. They installed pegboard on two walls, which freed up lots of shelf and drawer space. 
On to the garage?It is satisfying to see all my tools organized, each in a collection or dedicated space in the tool chest and workbench.  The old cardboard boxes of memorabilia & household items were replaced with clear bins, so I can see what is stored.  It looks fresh and clean, and I am no longer embarrassed to open my garage door, run into the house and close it before the neighbors drive by!  Not to mention the joy of being able to keep two cars in the garage once again. 
And now my closet?.oh my gosh, there are just no words to explain how wonderful it is to be able to sleep an extra 10 minutes, knowing you can put together an outfit quickly, because you aren?t searching through messy drawers for something to wear?it?s hanging in front of you, neatly folded on a shelf, or binned and labeled in a drawer.
One of the most simple, yet useful things that organizethis installed was a door stop on the self-closing door into the garage?I can?t explain or understand why I never thought of this before, but it has made my life of carrying groceries, purses, packages from the car to the house SO much easier.  I say a grateful prayer of thanks every time I open that door!  Little did I realize the freedom that comes from having an organized home?I will miss the team, who were always cheerful, encouraging, funny and became my friends.  It was worth every dime I spent, and I know I will thank them for years to come.

Fantastic! We felt so comfortable with them during the job. They are very understanding,nonjudging and honest.We knew that we were safe as well as our belongings  by the way the whole team conducted themselves.They also really know how to get the job done. Everything is clean and has a place now. Dana ( the owner) was comforting about our situation from the first time we spoke on the phone all the way until her wonderful team lead by Mary finished the job. A job which we had been dreading for years is now complete and we couldn't be happier with the wonderful experience we had from Organizethis!

My experience with Organize This was incredible from start to finish. From my first meeting with Teine, I felt as though I was in good hands and I felt safe and supported throughout a very large and difficult project. My family began a remodel project in early 2011 that was supposed to take 6 months. we moved out of our home and into my mother's house. My mother had just died after battling cancer for more than 2 years. So we packed most of our belongings from a 4 bedroom 2 bath house that we had been in for over 10 years into our two car garage and moved into my mother's house that was full of her belongings. Our remodel project was hijacked by an unscrupulous contractor who put a lien on our house. Now in the summer of 2012, the project is nearing completion but I was in a panic thinking of the two car garage as well as my mom's clothing and other items that I had not yet gone through. So the ladies came and helped me and worked and held me up when I cried and gave me directions, guidance and support to go through and lovingly let go of the remnants of my mother's life as well as helping me sift through things from my own life that I didn't really need anymore. Their system is fail proof and they worked so hard but with such good will and positive intention that it felt as though I was working with friends and people who really wanted me to suceed and believed that I could. It's incredible being around people that genuinely care and want the best for you. I still have some work to do on my own, but the areas that the ladies have set up for me are working so well and I am actually happy when doing things like laundry and having my racks to hang my clothes on. Shopping is so much easier b/c I can see what I have and what I need and being organized has elminated the kind of mindless "just in case" shopping that i used to do before.  I have also learned to think in a more organized way that makes breaking projects down into manageable tasks easier and more efficient.  Even though I spent a considerable amount of money and I've never spent this much money on "myself" before, I can honestly say that the value is there.  These ladies work so hard and are so smart each in her own way.  It is hard to spend money in such a huge amount but when I marked fair above I do not use the definition "middling" I use the definition as in "just" and "appropriate".  these ladies accomplished things I could never have accomplished on my own and I acknowledge that and appreciate them so much.  Spending this much money was hard, I will have to make some choices to do without some things this year but honestly, this is one  of the best things that I have ever spent money on.  I've learned a skill and a mindset that I can maintain and pass on to my daughter which is invaluable.

I googled professional organizer from watching tv shows about organizing. The first time I called, I left a message and was called back. Other times I got a person and made appointments right away.   They charge for the first consultation and I found other organizers that do free consultations.  The lady (Megan) on the phone was so informative and spent so much time listening to me justify my messes and then she explained how they do what they do.  She told me that there was a secret place on the website that I could enter and fill out a questionnaire about our home and history and things that would be important for the organizers to know if we eventually hired them to help us.  I think it was their website that made me feel that paying for a consultation was worth it.  It was worth it to get a plan and to get hope that there was a way to get our lives in order.  Mary came and told me how to organize our garage by ourselves and even gave us phone numbers for the dumpster and donations people. There was no pressure at all to book a job with them, it was like she was happy to be here and talk us through.  We hired them so the $100 for the consultation was taken off my invoice so it was basically free.  They are very organized and systematical in how they do things. We've had anywhere from 1 to 3 organizers here at the same time.  They have a big truck that comes with all the organizing stuff on it.  They only work 5 hour days so they came from 9 am and left by 2:30.  They said it's because their company philosophy is about a balanced life and they live what they teach, also they said we'd be exhausted and need to do our kids pick ups etc and also that we'd want them gone after 5 hours of organizing!  All true.

These women know about every tool in my shop and totally reformed our garage.  Since then they did our kitchen from top to bottom and set my office up.  It get;s really messy and undone while they are sorting your stuff and labeling categories, but there is a system and an order to how they do it so you know its going to turn out okay.  They kept saying "stay in the boat, we will steer it"

It's rough to see all your stuff out in categories.  They take you step by step through what they sorted and do donations piles and then they organize and label everything in storage bins.  I've learned how to organize by working with them and they teach you as you go.  My wife is less organized than I am and she kept the kitchen organized and then when we just remodeled she used what they taught her and was able to put the new kitchen together by herself.

I'm self employed and work from home.  I never had an office professionally set up.  It was the final frontier of trust for me and I wish I could show you what it looks like from where I'm sitting.  It's still my normal way of working, papers out and little bits of clutter everywhere but I can clean it up in about 15 minutes because they made a home for everything and it's where I would have thought to put it if I would ever have taken the time by myself to do this.  I never would have.  They call after each time they've been here to check on how the job went.  I've had to call the office to ask where something is and they always know.  They take pictures before, during and after for a record of their work.  I used the photos to remember what we donated to the Battered Womens Shelter.  

We've spent much more than $3,500 with them but that's about an average per area we've had organized.  It does seem expensive but I still give them an A on price because of the change it made.  I joined Angies List just so I could leave this review.

The team was fast and efficient and really got me to evaluate what I did and didn't need any longer in my life.  We got rid of SO much stuff - some donated, so it didn't all go to the landfill.  They organized every room of the house (trust me, every room needed it!), and taught me and my husband how to maintain a standard of organization we've never really known before.  My house is in order, my books are in order, my studio is neat and I can work and create in there again. 
I think one of the things I most appreciate about all the work they did (and helped me to do), was that I've learned a lot about what I do and don't need in my life during the process.   I can let go of things now.  I put things away when I'm done with them.  No house is perfect, but mine is so livable now and I can't thank Tiene and crew enough for the amazing job of organizing my 'hoard'.  I am no longer a hoarder and I have OrganizeThis to thank for that!

I was very nervous letting someone into my home office,  I have worked with some organizers before & I was worried that they wouldn't be able to quickly solve my problem.  Mary was extremely prompt & attentive.  She came in to quickly diagnose what needed to be done.  She was very sensitive to my needs & fears & was great about helping me get over my anxiety.  Tiene one of the owners,  also was kind enough to come over to meet me a few days later to help me with my decision.  

We scheduled 3 straight days for their crew to come in to turn my office into an efficient, comfortable & pleasurable work space.

They brought everything they need so there was no delays or pauses in progress.  My files we brought into order, my stacks of books & office supplies are neatly put away.  

I can breath again.

I want to thank Tiene, Mary, Lori, & Tina for being so wonderful to work with.  They are truly the most professional & thorough organization company from top to bottom.  

If you want the best & can't afford disorganization any longer, hire them today... you won't regret the experience.
