I contracted with Kitchens Etc. earlier this year to remodel our upstairs guest bathroom. Melissa oversaw the project and was nothing less than amazing. Through her expertise, Melissa guided me through the selection of materials and fixtures. She was on top of the remodel from beginning to end, and I especially appreciated her timely communication, follow through on commitments made, and incredible attention to even the smallest details. I must also mention Dean, the owner, and Danielle, the designer, who supported the project from beginning to end. The quality of work was second to none. Remodels are never an easy thing, but from the onset I felt 100% confident putting it in the hands of Kitchen Etc. They did not disappoint. It was truly a pleasure working with Melissa and the team at Kitchens Etc, and it will be their high level of customer service that will absolutely bring me back early next year as I embark on our master bathroom remodel.

We loved working with Danielle and Dean! They helped plan and design our kitchen, bathrooms and hallway closets. They guided us and offered unlimited support. Having met with several other designers we chose Kitchens Etc for their creativity and professionalism. We absolutely love the work they did for us, and would hire them in a heartbeat to renovate our next project.

Kitchen Etc finished the whole kitchen, and they did an awesome job. We worked with Dean, who came out to our house, took measurements and listened to what we wanted. Within a few days, we met with him on a Saturday at his showroom to go over the design. He was very throughly explaining everything. We did minor changes. He also gives detailed estimate on all the work (demo, electrical, plumbing, tiling, drywall, everything). Also he suggested places to get the Granite and the Sink. Dean gave us a quote for the whole project and it was helpful to plan and budget for the project. The electrical work was done by Kitchen Etc. Chris the electrician did an awesome and clean work. I call him MacGyver, because he can solve an electrical problem that you might have. He does a clean work and also show on time and clean after he was done. Everyone that I worked with in Kitchen Etc was awesome, polite and show up on time. Danielle spent a lots of time helping us to choose the colors, door style and hardware (she ordered samples first to make sure that we like the design). Oh, and one or two doors had a scratch from the factory, and Dean changed them without a question. I just showed him the scratches, and he just ordered new doors. Overall, great experience with Kitchen Etc and the team. By far the best contractor I have dealt with for the last 15 years. I highly recommend them for any Kitchen remodeling project.

Professional, responsive and courteous, from A - Z

The remodel of our kitchen has been completed for about a month now and we just love it. Danielle helped us with the selection of cabinet finishes, counter tops, and back splash, based on my stated preferences for style and working with the existing flooring style and colors.She even helped redesign the layout to be more efficient and provide us with the full pantry our previous kitchen lacked. They gutted the kitchen and laundry room. Their crews did all of the electrical, plumbing, cabinet installation, tiling, and did some additions to the existing flooring as required by the removal of the old cabinets. They were able to match the levels of wood laminate in the dining area to the kitchen tiles so that there was no need for a transition strip between the two. The work took about 6 weeks - slightly longer than the 5 weeks estimated. Anything I brought up that wasn't right was fixed immediately without argument or complaint. The only glitch was a delay at the beginning because they prefer to estimate everything but the contract work, which left us wondering about the final cost. After talking to our neighbor, who also used Kitchens Etc a few years ago, we called Dean and he agreed to come out and provide us with the complete estimate. We are happy we did that.

Great experience with Kitchens Etc. of Simi Valley on our master bathroom renovation. All marks are high with the exception of the price...but only because this type of work is always costly. We had several estimates from other companies and Kitchens Etc. was somewhere in the middle. What sealed the deal for us was the initial impression we got from owner Michelle Oldenkamp and her daughter Danielle: experienced, informative, friendly, and flexible. Our hunch proved right. Some designers want to take over all the details to execute their own vision; we got a look that was exactly what we hoped for. Michelle handled all the design issues (including spending lots of time designing the layout of a patterned tile to avoid undesirable cuts, making sure the mirrors and sconces we really wanted would fit, and even online searching for the perfect vanity chair —a task we had not asked her to do) and Danielle was super great with her design input and at checking in with us almost daily with texts (our request). Her promptness in responding to questions was awesome and so appreciated. Both visited often. The entire crew was super professional...including Chris, Chris T, Hector and Jose...so much so, that we actually felt comfortable leaving them alone in our home for periods of time. That's something we’ve NEVER done before. The work took two weeks longer than quoted (8 instead of 6) but we give that an A grade as well, given the outcome of the work and because we were partly to blame (a couple of times we had to ask that work be postponed for a day or two so that we could deal with our busy family). We highly recommend working with this company.

Excellent ! The job was finished in 8 weeks. The crew cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis. Danielle and Dean were true professionals and helped us to achieve the kitchen of our dreams.

Dean, Michelle & Melissa could not have been more helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. Our needs and wants were listened to and a replacement kitchen design was created for our approval. It was a collaborative process and we never felt pressured. The total removal and reinstallation created a much better use of space and created a contemporary look that we are still thrilled with almost one year later. The area has become the center of our daily activity instead of the room we avoided. The work was done professionally, on schedule and we always knew what the next step was going to be. The only changes in the initial cost quote were for changes to the initial design that we incorporated mid-project. Our finished kitchen exceeded our expectations. You will not be disappointed! Project took longer than expected (10 weeks), but the result is lovely. Very nice people to work with-everyone is pleasant and courteous.

Very organized ! stayed to their schedule - total of 6 weeks - amay cleaned up every night. great crew ! will use them again to do a bathrooms next year.

Estimated 6 to 8 weeks, took 9. Came in with 10% of initial budget, we added several items not originally in the budget. Kitchens Etc, performed our initial kitchen and bath remodel several years ago and we would not have anyone else do similar work. Working with Dean and Michelle makes a disruptive experience more tolerable as they are involved in every step of the process, visiting the job site each and every day. Minor problems and minor problems and modifications are dealt with very quickly and easily. When one of the plumbers stepped through the Bathroom floor into our kitchen ceiling, Kitchens Etc just fixed the problems with no questions asked and with any real disruptions. When the bathroom tile floor went in, it did not match the sample we picked out, so they just took up the tiles and replaced them with a tile we eventually selected when were able to pick out new floor tiles.
Kudos to Willie the dry wall technician as he solved what could have been a costly shower tile installation. He is the best.
All the work done was to our complete satisfaction and we would definitely recommend using Kitchens Etc. We are very satisfied with our newly designed and updated Master Bath.

Kitchen etc owners and workmen were very helpful and profession they arrived, on time. Everyday and did excellent work. We had a separate contractor to do demolition plumbing, electrical & other work. The two companies got along fantastic the work was done on time when promised without any problems or headaches.

Michelle & Dean were great to work with. Their design ideas & suggestions contributed greatly towards our dream kitchen. The work started when promised & was completed will before the time promised. All of the various construction phases were scheduled one right after another making the entire project almost seamless. All of the craftsman working on the project were courteous & professional.

Every person we dealt with was beyond professional.  They showed up when they said they would, they cleaned up each and every time.  The quality of work is amazing,,,all of it.  We ended up with such an great kitchen that we didn't mind the time that we were without a stove and sink (which wasn't too very long).
We are so happy that we chose Kitchen's Etc.  We looked at a number of other companies and are so glad when Kitchen's Etc. gave us what we asked for.

Kitchen etc. demolished everything.  Before demolishing they covered everything with plastic to have minimal dust in the house.  The demolishing took 2 days and they were on time.  Rebuild started immediately after demolishing; all subcontractors coordinated their work together with Kitchen etc. Work start to finish took 7 weeks.  They were courteous, nice and helpful.  They listened to comments and were quick to come back if there was something that needed to be fixed to our satisfaction.

Dean was always available to us and was on site to make sure the installation went great. Excellent follow up and great attention to detail. Extremely organized with a notebook for him, us and the workers.

It turned out fantastic. It ended up costing more because we had more done. What stood out was the designer. She was exceptional.

My house had its original small 1962 kitchen and a very dysfunctional layout. I needed help creating a more functional layout while remaining true to the  mid-century vibe of my house.
 After several bids from general contractors  that felt like they didn' t understand  what I was looking for, I decided to talk to someone who specialized in kitchen design.
I found Kitchens Etc on Angie's List and stopped by their showroom to look around. After an initial look, I met with Debra and with Dean several times to get the layout and design just right. They understood what I was aiming for, had wonderful suggestions, and were patient with my changes throughout the design process.
 I bought semi-custom cabinets with all the bells and whistles - pullouts, lots of drawers, even a piece that looks like furniture.  They look custom and the quality is very good - much better than the cabinets I priced at a big box store, and the same price.
Once we had the design down and all the choices made -and there are many more than you imagine - they ordered the cabinets and materials, and the work started.
Demo took a day, and things went smoothly. Any questions or concerns I had were answered patiently , and changes were handled well.
They were open to us doing some of the work ourselves if we wanted, so we did our own painting and tiling.
There were a few surprises, not unusual on a job of this scope. The majority of the work was done really quickly, but when we needed new  a couple new cabinet doors, it dragged out a bit  - the cabinet company's  fault, not Kitchens Etc. The entire job took about 2 1/2 months. but the majority of the work was done in 6 weeks.
The biggest problem we had  was we did this project starting the day after Thanksgiving, so we had to work around the holiday schedule of the suppliers to get some things in place, like the counter top fabricators. But we knew this possibility going into the project.
All in all, it was a great experience, I would work with them again in a heartbeat, and I have the most amazing kitchen, even more beautiful than I imagined it would be, thanks to Debra, Dean, the two Chris' s and the whole Kitchens Etc crew!
