We regret using this company. We were fooled into believing he was capable of doing this work. After two months of asking when the job (which should have taken no more than a week to complete) would be finished, we realized the guy was over his head and we needed to find out why this job was not getting done. We had 4 A/C contractors inspect his work. All of them agreed the work was poorly done and incomplete and felt sorry for us. In addition to not making the attic access wide enough to comply with city building codes, he did not put in a cat walk or a working furnance platform (both are also building code requirements), the furnace was not earthqauke strapped down, the bypass damper was not installed properly, (it was connected to the end of the duct board coil which allowed too much air to flow through the bypass damper, a manuel damper was needed to decrease the amount of air flowing through the bypass damper), a second bypass arm and weight were never installed, there was a missing wire in the zone board and the wires were not hooked up, the vent pipe was installed unprofessionally and had to be re-routed, and the A/C unit was the wrong unit and he could not get it to operate properly and blamed it on the unit. Signs you have hired the wrong contractor: *comes late in the morning, then leaves, returns and leave before all the other contractors *repeatedly tells you every time he shows up he only news a few more hours to complete the job which is never finished *does not clean up after he makes a mess and leaves it and his tools laying around in the way of other contractors *tries to convince you that you do not need to comply with city building codes *tells you your getting a two zone system and then says later than it was just for the furnace not the A/C (why would want it just for the heating and not for both heating and A/C?) We ended up using another contractor to finish the work and they were clean and professional. What a difference.
