Fencing Service
Not until I needed him to come and fix the badly made gate that after the first rain became almost impossible to open or close did I found out that he was not a licensed contractor.
I place him several calls and am still waiting for him to response.
His license is suspended. He brought a person to the work site and I can only imagine the legal issues we would have faced if something had happened to the helper as Mitch Herman doesn't have workman comp.
I had to contract another fence company to come and completely redo the gate and also to fix the back fence because Mitch Herman put the boards right into the dirt where they of course will start rotting immediately.
I am not just very angry about the extra money that this is going to cost me but more so for the fact that he is still out there lying to prospects that he is licensed and then performing bad work that he won't warranty.
I warn all of you not to use this person. At least not until he is fully licensed.
Per his business card his license number is 708029. If you check that at the Contractors State License Board you will find that it has been suspended.
This has been an expensive lesson learnt for me. I know now to always check the validity of the contractor's license before I enter into any agreements with any contractors.
