RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!Contracted through Home Depot for Kitchen cabinets measure & install. Extremely poor workmanship. Cabinets not secured to the wall, crown molding crooked at the ceiling per never advised by the incompetent owner Kevin who performed the measure that my ceilings were uneven. In addition the one man team installer installed over 80% of the hardware (cabinet handles) on crooked or uneven and not to mention SEXUALLY harassed me on the day of the pathetic & horrific install.

This was a small remodel of only the lower cabinets in order to install a dishwasher. We started this process in August through Home Depot and are still without a finished project. Their communication is terrible; unreturned phone calls, attitude from the receptionist, appointments made and not kept with no response as to why. We specifically asked for certain size cabinets and were given cabinets, based on Los Altos' own opinion of sizes, that put the sink off center, an unexplained 6" gap of unused space and dishwasher left hanging in space. We had to hire our own plumber to get the use of our sink back while we negotiated to get cabinets in the sizes we requested. As of today, we've fired Los Altos, got Home Depot to order the two cabinets we originally requested and hired a reliable cabinet maker to install when they arrive. This little odyssey has cost us an additional $1500 over and above what had been intended to be a small job with a specific amount we set aside for the work. I would never use Home Depot again if they insist on using this contractor to install.

Didn't finish job and couldn't get them to come back

Everything went pretty well. When they came to measure, they wanted to do more work than what I needed. I also asked them to make a cut in the floor for the cabinet, but they just set the cabinet on top of the finished floor. They did good work and were professional overall.

We used Los Altos 10 years ago to remodel our kitchen (30,000.00 job), so there was no question who we would use to do our bathroom. Kevin's crews are very professional from start to finish, always on time and very good workmanship. They removed all walls,floor and ceiling of the bathroom, and in doing so they found termite and water damage and repaired it at a reasonable price.( Thanks again Kevin) they left my home very clean when they were finished everyday. If I or my wife had any concerns or questions they were answered in a timely manner. Kevin was always accessible to us by phone. We are very happy with Los Altos and we highly recommend them.

They arrived on time and measured quickly. So far, we assume accurately (they caught that the ceiling is different heights in different places, etc). We did not hire them for the cabinet installation because they had a lot of bad reviews online regarding quality of work, and we already had a contractor with whom we were discussing the kitchen remodel and other work at the house. Our experience was good but limited with Los Altos, so I cannot recommend any actual contractor work with this company.

We were happy with the job. We did a walk through with them and showed them that they needed to do some touch-up work and they came back and fixed what they needed to.

We contracted with Los Altos for the bathroom remodel through Home Depot. We had problems with their lack of attention to detail and spotty communication. They insisted on verifying inventory before beginning, and yet missed some required components that caused later delays. They generally gave a 1 hour window for arrival. Two out of four early days, when it was most critical to stay on schedule, they showed up 1:30-1:45 late. They called once and blamed traffic. The other time, their guy said he was delivering something on another job. Apparently higher priority. The result was delays in getting countertop and shower/tub surround. Got the distinct feeling that they felt their time was more important than ours. Some of the detail work stretched unnecessarily due to scheduling problems and internal miscommunication. Quality of work was ok, not exceptional. Square cuts around door frame filled with grout rather than nibbling the tile for a closer fit. Some uneven grout lines. Not all nail holes filled. For the money and time, I expected better than ok quality.
Was on the fence between an overall C or D.

We were very happy with their service. They were construction people and everyone they brought in was good.

I made a request for bathroom remodel bid through Home Depot, and was connected to this company. They called to set-up an appointment with me. They scheduled me about 3 weeks prior (which they stated was their first available). On the date of the appointment, they simply did not show up. My first call during the window period they were supposed to come, I was told that I am on the calendar and someone should be arriving soon. My second call, and hour later, I was told that they don't know what happened, and that their inspector "probably" called in sick. Unprofessional and disorganized. Not a good sign.
