F & M Windows

Don't bother trying to contact this company. After multiple attempts to get them to do a minor window repair, they never even made an effort to return my messages from Angie's List. They obviously don't look at their messages on here or don't want the business.

I've been putting off having a few of my windows replaced. I'm glad I found this company they really very caring professionals.

I called to ask them to come out to do the window estimates. The reception person said to call back which she never did. I called again and after a couple of phone tags, we set up the date and time. The person did not show up an hour after the appointment time and I could not wait longer. It seems the person came later that day, leaving the business card. But no phone call of apology or anything. I figure it was not meant to be, so I called another company.

I needed an old window replaced becuse a couple on panes were cracked and the wood frame holding it in had disintegrated to the point that it could not be opened safely. Frank of F and M Windows came by, gave an estimate of $229.29 - materials and labor - and said he would order the replacement window and start work as soon as it arrived. A few days later he came with the window which was very atttractive and had all the modern advantages of being double-paned and weather proof. He installed it beautifully and even touched up the paint on the surrounding trim.

Frank listened to what I wanted (I wanted to keep the wood trim on the exterior of the house, I was used to Pella but did not have the champagne budget for this project) - he did his measurements and got back to me the next day (Saturday) with a detailed quote (by email with a phone call follow up). When I decided to go with his company he came back and re-measured before placing the order. He also came by and spoke the the Stucco and Paint contractor so that they all able to coordinate the installation. Also, I had causually mentioned that I was going to try to replicate the original Mission style moldings that had been removed in parts of the house, Frank volunteered that he was capable of doing it and they replacements turned out great (much better then what I would have been able to do).
