Some work had been done by Coastline Environmental Solutions to dry out moisture beneath the house; however, when we moved in, the house was still damp and smelled of sewage. I called Coastline Environmental Solutions to find out whether they guaranteed their work. The first time I called, I left a message, and my call was never returned. The second time I called, I was given the runaround. First of all, I was told that because I didn't know exactly how damp the house was, and because I didn't have an instrument to measure dampness, that a) I should buy a meter to qualify the amount of dampness in our house; and b) I didn't know what "damp" really meant, and that the dampness I felt was probably "normal." Secondly, when I discussed the sewage smell, I was told that once again, the smell was probably a "normal" musty smell. I was given an analogy that my problem was akin to grass that had been cleaned of dog feces -- the smell may still remain, but the problem is addressed. When I asked point blank if work was guaranteed, I was basically told that their job is done when the area is deemed dry, and if I wanted a technician to come out, it would be another $450. Terrible service.
