On time. Work done well.

My car door was deeply keyed, and I needed a quick and economical repair.  fortunately, I came across Alvin's auto body & paint. Their quote came in 20% less than other body shops. Bob and Lorena could not have been nicer. They worked with my schedule and were able to perform same-day service, which I did not expect. When I picked up my car, the quote was exact, and the quality of the work excellent. I highly recommend them.

My truck was hit while parked in front of my house causing around $7,000.00 worth of damage. I decided to take it to Alvins since it was close by and had heard good things about them. When I met Bob, the owner, he was very responsive and promised that it would be as good as new when he was finished. Of course they all say that, right. Well my truck is still being fixed but I have a rental truck until mine is finished.
On the first day I accidentally scraped the side of the rental on a high curb. The damage was pretty nasty looking but luckily it did not dent the rental truck. I took it to two body shops near my office and both came in at around 800 to fix. Then I took it to Alvins since they were repairing my truck anyway and showed it to Bob. He said he could fix it good as new for 300 bucks. My deductible is 500 so I let him do the work. I had the truck back the next day and it looks perfect. Next time I'll think twice about not taking out the rental insurance when renting a car.
My truck should be done by next week. I've seen the work they are doing on it and I'm really impressed so far. All that's needed is the repaint at this point so we'll see how the final product turns out. I'm sure it will be great, if not I'll be back to post another review.

Went great.

My car was dinged and scratched and had a couple of small dents. These were repaired economically and beautifully. Then I asked to have the car detailed, and it looked almost new when they finished. (The car is ten years old and sold in a day when I got it back.) I can't believe what they can do with cars - from now on, I'll go to Alvin's for ding and dent repairs when they happen. It's not nearly as costly as I had imagined.

Very well, took a bit longer than expected because of weather interference; From estimate to completion the project went smoothly and I am very happy with the result.

The bottom line is that one cannot tell the car was ever in an accident! I obtained 3 repair shop estimates, one of which was recommended by my insurance company; Alvin's estimate was cheaper than one and comparable to the other. My decision to use Alvin's was based on the results from the aforementioned estimates, a recommendation from the local VW dealer, the number of VW's awaiting repair at his shop (i.e., he knows how to repair VW's), the cleanliness of his shop area, and his small size. I figured there would be more 'attention to detail' than at a 'factory' repair shop that did volume work. AFter delivery of my repaired VW I subsquently noticed that the radio was not working and the right side electric window lift had a 'clunk' to its operation. I had ZERO problems getting it fixed within 2 days; 1 of those days was waiting for VW to deliver a new window regulator part. It took almost 3 hours for this additional repair and the only thing the owner demanded was a 'handshake'; followed by a sincere apology for taking up my time. Alvin's is more than just a VW repair shop; the owner "Bob" is a real 'car guy' as evidenced by the numerous photos in the office of his involvement in cars from hot rod's (going back to the 50's), to "dragster's", to his restored classic cars. As such Alvin will and can work on anything. At the time of my repair his shop was working on a 60's era Mustang Fastback and 'Chevy' Chevelle, as well as Japanese cars, luxury SUV's and expensive Mercedes.
