Watkins Construction Rick

As someone who has known Rick Watkins, the owner of this horrid company for over 15 years, I couldn't be more disappointed. We did a complete home and pool remodel. Rick was to complete a complete overhaul of our existing pool. The job was between $40-$60k. We paid for each step of the job, in FULL as each part was completed. We then paid Rick for the end of the job knowing that he would have to come back during what was to be the following week to install the auto-fill feature. That was in May of 2015. Fast forward to July of 2016, and here we were still waiting for Rick to return. After numerous text messages and phone calls from me, both of which he ignored repeatedly, I finally had my husband text and call him. Rick returned my husband's calls and text messages within mere minutes! Mind you, Rick has known my father and I in a professional and friendly manner for well over 15 years, yet he didn't find it necessary to respond to me. The job he failed to finish was well over 60 weeks old at this point. When Rick finally made it back out to our property (only after my husband contacted him), he still failed to complete the auto-fill feature as stated in our contract. He was supposed to install the auto-fill but he only connected the water supply, & didn't install the valve. He advised he would need to return the following week to ensure the liquid cement had cured, make adjustments, etc. It was after all of these unprofessional dealings with Rick that I had my husband call him to tell him we'd rather pay someone reputable to come out to finish the job he failed to complete. We ended up calling Rick again, to tell him he was never to step foot on our property again . We would rather pay someone twice the price that we had already paid Rick to finish the job correctly, and in a timely manner. Call me unreasonable, but well over one year after the pool remodel was started, it was never finished. We are an easy-going family, but we refuse to be taken advantage of without consequences. I implore you to look elsewhere for any/all of your pool needs. Take care!

Very reasonably priced. I would go with him again in a hearteat. He is my go to guy. I wouldn't think about using anybody else.
