Ron the technician was a wealth of knowledge and suggestions about caring for pianos, and making sure that they're in tip top condition. He tuned the piano, and we discussed when I should have it tuned next. I'd recommend LA Piano Services to friends and colleagues, many of whom are professional musicians, who care about the quality of work done on their priceless pianos!

Jim Wilson is a registered piano technician and a member of the Piano Technicians Guild. A technician compared to a tuner is like a master cabinet maker compared to a carpenter. Both have good skills, but need to be matched to the job at hand. My baby grand is about 90 years old and was re-built by another piano technician as part of his training about 30 years ago. The last work on it was about 14 years ago, and it had been moved to different houses twice since then. Jim was prompt for his two appointments. He cleaned the work area and the piano thoroughly after his work (for example, shaping hammers can create a lot of dust). I have a good ear for individual notes and was quite happy with the final tuning and voicing. Jim was polite, friendly, upbeat and carefully explained all of his work in advance.

MR. TUTTLE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF TUNING OUT PIANO. HE BROUGHT THE PITCH UP AND IT HAS REMAINED. HE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND PLEASANT AND SEEMED TO KNOW HIS JOB.
