Just had a great experience with them. We had a couple of 20amp circuits added to our breaker box and so far so good! They arrived on time and got the work done in a reasonable amount of time - especially considering that they needed to go through a couple of walls!

I hired BK Electric to do the electrical work on a new garage that was being poured from cement. The guy who runs the company is a nice guy and seemed responsive, but he subbed the work out to a guy who took the money and never completed the work. Worst of all -- when I called (many, many many times) to try to get the job completed, nobody took responsibility and they stopped returning my calls. I have no idea what happened, but it was a terrible experience. All I can do is warn people -- avoid.

A year ago, I entrusted them to upgrade my electrical panel and install my Tesla charger, only to be met with incompetence and negligence. Recently, I received a corrections notice from the LADWP as the meter spot was apparently never closed out with a proper inspection. The meter spot was shared with BK in order for them to do their work, and they never bothered to complete this step. The corrections notice indicated that the electrical work was not up to code due to the insufficient distance between the electrical panel and the gas line. Per LADWP, all electricians are aware of this requirement, and this is nothing new. I contacted BK and they initially appeared to be helpful, forwarding me a completed permit inspection from LADBS. Per LADWP, LADBS inspections do not cover all code requirements, and again electricians should already be aware of this. I spoke to an administrative employee the entire time, never being put in touch directly with the electrician for over a month. She clearly had no idea what was going on since she just told me that it was the plumber’s problem and the gas line had to be moved to meet code. I explained to her that the gas line was in the same position before their work commenced so it was not the plumber’s responsibility. BK should have either installed the panel with sufficient distance or informed me that the gas line would have to be moved. Neither happened. After enduring over a month of fruitless back-and-forth, I reached the electrician directly. Despite assurances of resolution, their actions—or lack thereof—spoke louder than words. They started to ghost me, leaving me frustrated. Fed up with their ineptitude, I took matters into my own hands and hired a plumber to rectify the gas line issue—at a cost of $550. This additional expense was a bitter pill to swallow, especially considering it was necessitated by the electrician's negligence. In conclusion, BK Electric is not only incompetent but also deceitful and negligent. Their disregard (or lack of knowledge) for safety regulations and customer well-being is appalling. I implore anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. This is not a company you want to entrust with your electrical needs, lest you find yourself in a situation like mine—financially burdened and facing potential safety hazards. P.S. I just read another review that had a pretty similar experience as me so this must be par for the course when hiring BK Electric Services. LOOK ELSEWHERE.

BK Electric put an electric panel at our home in Pasadena and was not able to get a permit for from the City of Pasadena. Since we've received notice that the permit was no approved, the owner, Liron, has not been in touch with us since in order to remedy their oversights, which included filing the wrong permit for us in the first place by their incompetent staff. We paid almost 15K for the work to be done. I saw that they received a negative review on Yelp from another homeowner regarding the exact same problem. There is a pattern here with big ticket work that they have done. They have also received a C+ on the Better Business Bureau's website. Be aware of the unethical practices of BK Electric in Sherman Oaks.

BK Electric replaced our main electrical panel at our house in October of 2021. They came out on time and completed the work on schedule at a fair price. They even came back and installed a Tesla charger for us a week later. If this was the end of the story, I would have given them 5 stars. A few months ago, over 1.5 years since the work was "completed", we had an LADWP inspector show up to our house saying he was there to inspect the electrical panel since the permit was never finalized, which we had no idea about as we hadn't heard anything from BK and they were paid in full. The inspector issued some corrections, so BK Electric came back out and addressed those corrections and called for reinspection. The inspector came out one morning and BK Electric did not show up to meet with the inspector, so my wife had to do the best she could to answer any questions. The inspector issued additional corrections, which went to BK Electric. That was 2 months ago and I've tried calling and emailing BK Electric multiple times to see when the corrections would be completed and still don't have any clue when or if these corrections will be addressed. I can't believe it's been nearly two years since this work was done and it is still not finalized yet they had no problem cashing the checks we wrote them. I don't know if they just don't want to do the corrections or what the issue is, but at this point I am basically being ghosted by this company. It has been a frustrating experience to say the least and I certainly cannot recommend anyone use them.

We approved their bid, paid the first payment, and have been waiting for months for the actual work to be completed. I've reached out dozens of times to try and schedule something and have had zero luck. Every week there's another excuse. Very disappointing.
