Fireplace Transformations

From the onset, I knew Bob was the right person for the job. It helped that I had a picture of what I wanted the end result to look like -- as Bob doesn't pretend to be a designer! He built a niche business marketed to people like me who want to work with a single contractor to remodel an old fireplace! Bob is happy to refer his clients to vendors who can provide the necessary material options for the project. He came to our home for an initial meeting to discuss the services he would provide to update our old wood burning fireplace. He followed up with a written estimate for installation costs plus permit costs. He then outlined next steps (starting with shopping for the tile). After finding the tile and size we liked, all I had to do was contact Bob's office. He then arranged another home visit to take specific measurements of the fireplace so we'd know how much tile to buy. Bob's office scheduled the installation of the gas line and tiling work (including pick-up) followed by the drywall, gas burner and logs. The very last step -- and the longest one -- was the ordering and receiving the custom glass doors (allow 6-8 weeks) -- this step required exact measurements after all the tiling work was completed. All work was done extremely well with great attention to detail and professionalism. Each day the workspace was cleaned up and items moved back into place. It didn't hurt that Bob's staff were animal-friendly too so I didn't need to lock up my cat each day they were on premises! We are very pleased with the end result -- could not have asked for a better experience or outcome. One of our neighbors came over to view the fireplace prior to it's final stage and couldn't wait to start their own update with Fireplace Transformations! I highly recommend their services.
